Neutral Newbie

Seems similar to Singapore, where there are restrictions for foreigners to buy landed properties, subject to LDAU approval.

Dude, my aunt says they arent agents and they dont speak english for sure.

It's some relatives' relative who linked her up to buy the house.

If you need to be near Marriot in Thonburi, then Riverside City is perfect... drive straight down, up the bridge before Charoen Kung, down the bridge and Marriot is there...

U can try Sukhumvit Soi 24-26. The Davis. If u tinkin of stayin near the entertainment sois, beta dont. Soi 24-26 is generally a safer & quieter plac. Dun stay in Ratchada, the traffic to town sucks big time. Both day n nite. And some of the more notorious mob comes out at nite. Try not to stay out of the prime areas. U are not a local. Its not safe for u. Stay in areas where the police cars frequent. Sukhumvit, thonglor, Silom, etc. Dun stay at outskirts like Ladproa, Chonburi, Thonburi etc. These are local turfs. Its my 2 cents. I used to stay in the govt. apartment wif my gal at Klongtoey. Had a gal fren too who stay in Pinklao. If u are plannin to stay at more budget areas, talk to a local u TRUST. They mite be even beta in givin u advice.
