SG drivers generally still obey traffic lights. Wait till she goes to countries whereby traffic lights are never followed, i think her message will be "Why i never learn how to cross the roads"..

Driving in the city of China and India can be safer sometime.

 

- Traffic jam, therefore no speeding

- Cyclist, motorist and human just follow the flow

 

The rule of thumb driving in these cities is drive your car like a bicyle and no sudden acceleartion and stop; just flow along.

To a certain extent, i agree. We are used to the driving style here that we have grown to take it as a norm.

Yeah agree.. Even if no camera, in the middle of the night with nobody watching.. People also stop.

Anyway, such reports, esp from blood sucking insurance companies, needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. Its just another gimmick for raising already sky rocketing premiums. They never blame their poor shady practices for that but release some stupid reports to shift all the blames to the drivers...who are supposedly their customer and who are those that are feeding their fat bonuses....

pedestrian also must take the blame. whenever i reach a zebra crossing or traffice light i will always be very careful cos a lot of people cross without looking at the traffic and they took thier time to cross machiam their grandfather's road. Sometime i really want to get out of the car and F*** them. If i bang on to them at the most licence gan tong but for them either they lose 1 hand or 1 leg or . actually i am fine, its a good trade off

You talking about padestrain at zebra crossing and traffic light junction. Don't thing you can fault them if they cross the road slowly at zebra crossing. As for traffic light, if they are red for padestrain, they deserved to be horn..

Last few weeks i nearly rammed down jaywalkers quite a few times. Office ladies going out for lunch cross road don't look, students on their ipod red man still dash across the road without checking, Bangala on bicycle who red man still cycle across.Alot of cases many see the person in front of them dash across then they just follow behind and dash without checking.

 

Pedestrians these days are a reckless bunch.

entrance into shopping mall cp, or even at my own condo compound....there r zebra crossing, but they r not in black n white but in faint colors. So wat r those suppose to b?? freak zebra or wat, shld drivers follows e same rule as in real zebra???

Hope this Victoria Barker person NEVER learns to drive, she'll be a road hazard if she does!

 

Better yet, make her learn to drive in KL or Jakarta or Bangkok...then see whether she still "cares" so much about hurting others anot. WTH she means by Singaporesan drivers got their priorities screwed up?? I take as a foreigner attacking our people! Think by the time she gets the hang of driving in those cities mentioned above (if ever!), injuring other road users will fall to the bottom of her list of priorities! Never even drive wanna tok so much kok!

I agree! They drive, don't see backside one.

They can drive and change as and when they like..,

and not noticing for incoming FAST cars.
