buy a VGA cable which comes equipped with an audio jack.Plug one side to your laptop, the other side to your LCD.Select the source on your tv using the 'AV' or 'Source' button on the remote.Don't forget to toggle your laptop display to display it on ut tv.Usually you have to press "ALT" / "Fn" together with the display button. On Acer laptop,it's "Fn" + "F5".

VGA cable is it the blue plug use to connect display to external source like projector or monitor?

How does a VGA cable look like? Does all laptop have VGA output point?

I can't find the 12 pin VGA blue plug on my Samsing LCD TV which is HDTV Ready and has S video...

I use the Western Digital HD Media player.

I dunno whether you can link your laptop via usb direct to the device. What I do is transfer movies to my thumb drive or portable harddisk and pop it into the device. If your TV is HD capable this is ideal, if not also never mind can use the RCA(red, white & yellow) cables connect to TV. It can play picture files & music files too.

It can play all kinds of format and as you can see from the link it has constant update on the video codecs.

Cost is around $199.

I recommend this product cos when I watch the movie on this device(+ on HD TV) the picture quality is better dan I watch direct from my PC. My PC and PC monitor lok kok one. [laugh]

Just buy a HDMI cable lah...no need to figure our red, yellow, white...I think ur LCD TV must be recent enough to have a HDMI port...you laptop too...pls chk before purchasing...if both come with HDMI coonection then it;s simply plugging one end to laptop and the other to ur lcd tv

do note if there is no sound then u must go change the aduio settings on the laptop

I think only the newer and higher end laptops come with HDMI...

Most laptops would come with S-video though - so using S-video is an option

You may need another audio cable (single 3.5mm plug to red/white connectors) to link the sound output to the TV or your stereo...

Of course, the easiest is to use the blue VGA cable if your TV supports it which unfortunately your TV doesn't <_<

The VGA cable is the cable that connects your monitor to your computer.

LCD/Plasma TVs should all have this connection.

Forget about S Video, the image quality will suck big time when compared to connection using the VGA cable.

Does any LCD TV come with VGA Input mine is Samsing...

Both my Samsing TV, 52" and 40" have VGA input. Since notebook is a common computer platform, I guess VGA input should be a common feature for LCD.

vga cable is the blue one with two screws on the sides... most lcd tv has the vga cable point... however its only visual, no sound from tv.... the sound only comes from yr laptop...

if possible, get the hdmi cable (provided both ur tv n laptop has the outlet).... hdmi has visual n sound from tv
