I had plans to switch to frameless wipers, but was convinced by the car mechanic to give this Aquila Spolier Wiper a try. Just curious, I notice there is growing interest in frameless wipers. What are the pro and cons of frameless wipers???

BTW, I paid $63 for this "Aquila" Spoiler Silicon wiper (22in and 20in), and is made by Twister.

make sure the wipers are suitable for your ride.

silicon wiper are heavier than the norm and not all rides are suitable to install.

so, there is a possibility that you might hear "yee-yee" sound while wiping..

but definitely, silicon wiper will provide clearer vision..

warning to all car owner who wanna try silicon wiper.

DO NOT USE RAIN ACT. there is a kind of liquid rain act, when wipe on to your wind screen, it will appy a layer of silicon to enable water to flow off easier .

when a silcion blade is wipe against silicon windscreen, U WILL HAVE ENDLESS PROBLEM.

any way , i tried flamless silicon wiper b4, they do wipe cleaner when new, but i dun think they really last longer then normal rubber wiper( maybe deal to the area i work and drive in , jurong area )

but 1 thing is for sure, they look way cooler then normal wiper , lol.

Don't think there's a particular reason; maybe frameless wiper is supposed to conform better to the shape of the windscreen?

I changed to Bosch Aerotwin but only had it for 2mths so far; so not sure how long they will last and perform. But it's darn good at the moment; quiet and wipes clean.

My friend had Twister and he said in 3-mths become rubbish liao :D

Anyway, Sg weather and humidity kills wipers fast, so don't believe those 3yr lifespan wipers. In general, I doubt they can last that long and perform optimally, silicon or not.
