Bike Rack

Got this from Wheeler's Yard. $18

 

 

My thule don't have the horizontal bar to hang the attachment on. So thinking if i should just attach it to the bike's horizontal frame bar, or I go get some clip straps to just hang it from the rack.

Bro.. can PM me the cost of this Thule 992 you bought from carousell if not convenient to share here?

 

I am also driving a SUV but is very new to such bicycle stuffs.. No chouce but to dive straight in since my kiddo is very enthusiastic about cycling NOW.

 

Best to have more pics on your car with fully mounted bikes etc

I am still waiting for the replacement parts I ordered to arrive before mounting and using the rack.
 
Will PM you the price I got it for.
 
These are some of the Thule Raceway mounted on back of hatchbacks for your reference in the meanwhile.

 
As you can see there are a few ways to mount it, but i will prefer to have the bottom frame resting on the bumper lip as it will be less stressful on the rest of the hook contact points.

Just because bro, your Merc should be fine, but I have seen some cheaper less well made bumpers come off when the owner loads three bikes on their rack
