Or can it be due to workmanship and etc?

Wish to ask:

For installation of rear anti-roll bars, is there a difference between using a 4-point car lift as compared to a platform car lift? Which is better?

4-point car lift only supports 4 corners of the vehicle when it is being lifted up, whereas a platform car lift supports the whole vehicle instead (vehicle resting on 4 wheels).

Any pros and cons of each?

(Pardon me, not exactly sure of the exact terms.)

Don't think the lifting method matters bah. So long as the car is properly jacked up to access the undercarriage then is OK.

More importantly when installing the ATB is to make sure there is no preload on the bar for run-of-the-mill drivers.

Weiming: I was initially wondering if it will make a difference because of the weight of car and all (suspension being compressed). The pressure given to the bar, the angle.

Because if it's being secured tightly when lifted on 4 point, will it cause additional stress to the bar and connected parts when it's on 4 wheels (with the vehicle weight)?

Like I said, I don't really think the jacking method matters as long as the car is safely lifted.

A quick Google search shows two articles with instructions on the procedure with much similarity:

http://www.audiworld.com/tech/misc3.shtml

The ATB is supposed to be able to handle all sorts of stress anyway :)
