I would prefer somewhere near UK farm along the way cos I scare later get lost.  Thanks.  :)

Nearer to UK farm will be air hitam. Known for Amy yip pao. I think it's near to the roundabout.

Where will you be going to UK farm from ? Kluang town or Singapore ?

Going from Kluang, there are many choices in town such as the famous Kluang Railway Station kopi. If you're starting from Singapore, UK farm is about halfway between the NSHW Kluang exit and Kluang proper, there is much anything else on the way.

You could try eating at Simpang Renggam, one exit earlier. UK farm also have its own restaurant.

I'm going from Singapore, woodlands checkpoint.

I wanted to try the Kluang railway station breakfast but I scare later I lost the way.  I saw google map the UK farm is before the Kluang town.  I do have GPS but dun really know how to use wahahahahhahaha. Sounds very stupid right?

thanks.

Turn right after toll plaza towards Ayer Hitam. Second kopitiam has nice big pau and timsum. After that head back towards Kluang. Or turn right at toll plaza and eat at Zenxin Organic (5km from toll plaza). Kopi and beehoon soup pretty nice. Have fun.

This coffeeshop is very near the plaza toll?  And after that I U turn back and go straight to Kluang is it?  Perhaps I consider Zenxin farm since it is on the way.  thanks

MY is not very densely populated. So, that should be easier for your GPS. It will be very much accurate than in SG with tall buildings and many major and minor roads close together.

My experience going to Kulai Rainforest Treehouse resort was that the GPS is dead on accurate! So accurate that it announced arrival at destination at that specific spot, but I couldn't see my destination. I need to drive up and down and in circles a few times, back to the same place again, only to discover that it was indeed the place.

Many less visited places will have poor signage and could be "hiding" out of your sight when you are inside your car. Sometimes, you need to step out from your car and look look see see.

So, those many waterfalls I missed in Langkawi could be due to this reason. [laugh]

Next trip, bring binoculars along. :D

yes data-less in theory, download the Here map from store. Tonnes of maps of different countries. Make sure you download SG and MY maps, so that you can drive seamlessly from SG to MY. Feedback seems to suggest that Here map actually works better in Android than native Lumia (Nokia/MS).

I am not using Android, so not too sure about Google map. Last time, I remembered doing inside the app (Google Map) itself and had very limited areas for you to download. Things could have changed now.

Ya. 2-min drive from toll plaza. http://johorkaki.blogspot.com/2012/05/big-pau-tang-chuan-in-ayer-hitam-johor.html

If you have kids or elderly, better to turn out at Machap exit. The toilet just after toll plaza are much cleaner than the one at Ayer Hitam exit. Also hardly any people standing next to their bikes and smoking. After that, turn right at the T-junction just after the toilets and head towards Ayer Hitam (10-15min drive). To go to Kluang, turn right at the big 4-way junction.

Go to Google Streetview for a closer look.

Hi,

If I take my breakfast in Tebrau then headed to Kluang.  Do I need to U-turn back to EDL and head to Kluang (according to the google map I search)?

But I remember along the way to Desaru, I can turn into the NSH to Kluang right?

I remember seeing the signboard - Malacca/KL when I was heading to Desaru from Tebrau along the way.  Or is it I have see wrongly?

thank you.

Kluang is not so big but depending on timing there can be a bit of traffic so between UK farm to Kluang station could be 20-30 mins one way.

OIC. Thanks.

No need U-turn. Just continue head north from Tebrau. The joint to NSHW just after Tampoi before Pandan.

So I just head towards the direction to Desaru and watch out for the malacca/KL sign right?  If that is the case then what i remember that I saw is correct.

Thanks alot!  Then I will have my dimsum breakfast near Tebrau and then travel to Klaung from there.

Thanks. [laugh] [laugh] [laugh]

Hi,

I am back from my Kluang trip.  We didn't go to Kluang town as we were late for the check-in.  We switched to going to Malacca first before the Kluang trip as Kluang hotel was fully booked on the date we want.

Very easy to locate UK Agro Farm.  Exit Air Hitam, after the toll gate, turn right and go straight all the way.

We have a wonderful trip (2D1N) at the Agro UK Farm.  Very educational for the kids.  The chalets are made of wood, food are mostly organic, they plant and rear themselves.  We get to eat organic vegetables and fruits, kampong eggs, kampong chicken, release the sky lantern (天灯), sheep challenge (catch the sheep)  and etc.  All meals, tour are inclusive in the 2D1N package except the nite tour (RM 5 per pax).  A lot of hands on activities.

We get to feed the goats grass, feed the baby goat milk with milk bottle, see how goat milk are being processed/milked and etc.  We get to try the free goat milk too.  We didn't like it, the goat smell (羊膻味) was very strong.  My daughter tried and commented that the UK farm Kluang goat milk tastes better than the goat milk at our Kranji farm.

Weather is very hot in the day time but at nite is very cooling.  Very quiet at nite, away from the traffic noise pollution and air is very fresh.  I recommend those with children to go.

My son told me that it is more fun in UK farm than the Paradise farm in Gold Coast.

Fun?  suitable for kids?

I found myself falling in love with "kampong style accommodation"  after spending a nite in UK Agro farm.  Very quiet and peaceful.

My next destination is Kluang town since I have not visited it yet.   I presume it will be something similar as Malacca but less commercialise,  less crowded and smaller than Malacca.

Malacca now very commercialise, their food costs rise so much that it is almost same price as Singapore.  A bowl of noodles in jonker street cost RM6.50 + GST, nonya chang cost RM6.00!
