There are lot of those unethicall folks out there, i had quite a similar experience:

 

Young guy in AMK Hub Car park driving a Honda, reversed and banged in front of my car. during discussion over the accident, he said no problem we will settle it etc etc...

 

Later went and claimed that i banged him from behind...Siah...

 

Better be carefull then get into these situation...

The workshop called me to update me on the case. Income is disputing the claim. The workshop and my insurance has the video and they told me that they did not submit the video to Income yet. They wana hold onto it as their truimp card.

 

They will let me know the decision once Income reply to them.

 

 

Looks like the workshop also know how to play poker and see who is gona call bluff.

I have to contribute. I kenna 4ss raped by an uncle. Stopped at the slip road from AYE to North Buona Vista and this uncle in a COE Colt rammed into my rear.

 

I came out and he didn't bother to come out kept looking at me sitting inside the car. His bonnet already dented up but can still drive. I saw my damage. Need some alignment but can still drive.

 

Since he didn't want to come out, I heck care him. Noted his number and waved him off. Immediately I drive to Portsdown Rd Star Automotive to have the car fixed. This was last Tue. Broad daylight 1145am.

 

Don't care claim him. Got his registration number already.

 

Got my car on Sat and then after parking didn't start. I think the fuel pump is damaged. Now tow back to Star Automotive.

 

I reported my accident and that is all I care. It is now mandatory to report withinn 24hrs. I suggest everyone to do the same be it a small side swipe or rear kisser either from you or done to you. Let the GIA workshop take picture and whether or not you want to repair is up to you. Just report and cover your own backside.

 

THERE IS NO POINT coming down, exchange particulars and argue. Let the lawyers do the work. Sure people can falsify claims against you but they will be screwing with the system. Let your insurance lawyers do the work. Don't get involved into this sort of problem.

Yesterday evening, I was on the right most lane queueing to turn right. Then tis Mit Colt driven by a late 40s guy cut into my lane adruptly, w/o signal lights also. His rear quarter made contact wif my front left bumper.

 

I was seating in my car waiting for him to alight from his vehicle to exchange details and examine damage. But he did not, instead he acted blur and stayed in his car. When green light, the front cars start moving, I moved forward and cut into his lane diagonally to prevent him from escaping. Only then he alight and told me to move to the side of the road to discuss further.

 

 

We turned right and stopped at the side of the road to exchange particulars and examine the damage.

 

 

After exchanging particulars, he accused me of knocking into him!!! Wat rubbish!!! And said I should pay him for his car damage. I told him that it was he who cut into my lane and knocked into me not the other way round. I also pointed to him I had a car camera onboard and think carefully b4 throwing accusations. He told me to show him the video, I told him I am not obligated to show it to him but to my insurance company only. I gave him one last chance, either private settlement or insurance settlement. He still insist I knocked into him. We cannot come to an agreement and we left.

 

I called my insurance(MSIG) and they advised me to make a report today and submit all my pictures and video evidence. The other guy is Income insured. My fren and wife viewed the footage and confirmed clear cut case, he knocked into me and I did not change lane at all. I have the footage in hand but will not post up the web, in case he find it.

 

 

 

What kind of ridiculous claim will I expect from this idiot??? If I can polish off the scratches, I may not want to file a claim but I am afraid of him claiming against me. I'm on 50% NCD.

 

 

Seriously you got car camera to capture the event and is a solid evidence to insurer, and if you lose the case...really can dump your car to the sea, smash the camera and swear not to own and drive car anymore

i dont know about u, but i would take picture of the dmg and HIS car dmg with plate no AND the location with car in view if possible. nowadays cannot trust the insurers, they all in cahoots

i also highlighted my accident in March this year .... but sadly still cannot find the guy who stopped to offer me help.

 

anyway, just curious how do you classify "uncle"? a similar old man looking like ard 60 yrs old also hit me in the rear pax door with his 18yr old civic when he ran a redlight..... hmmm ... seems to be a trend that many old timers out there are driving their old heap of scrap metal and baging into other ppls' new cars ??

 

another point to note, regardless of how the accident occurred, its best to just get hold of any possible witness(s) on the spot so dun have to talk so much when filing claims....as in my case, the old man now claim i caused the accident !!

You have to report, regardless, as it is a requirement by the insurance company. If he is under Income, they are quite good at standing by their clients..."I am trying to be polite" when comes to talk about Income

for your case, if it is a clear cut case, then its convenient for you to claim against the other party.

 

insurance or lawyers dun really have to play much especially when there is such a thing called the "Barometer of Liability chart", which indicates the percentage of fault of either party who is involved in an accident when no witnesses are available - just "circumstancial evidence".

 

and sadly, unless one has a high impact case or knows someone in the press(s), its gonna be hard to get anyone's attention ... (i have written to all 3 english papers ....none interested)

Until today, still no update from the workshop. So I called them up. They told me still pending Income approval.

 

So I called up Income and check. They told me that they did not have any video submitted and they have yet to determine liability. They said it is weird that I am calling them up as it is normally the workshop. But the workshop is not acting in my interest, they are using a wait and see approach. So I volunteer to submit the video as I wana get tis done and over with.

 

It is just a simple putty and re-spray job, just need a nod from Income.
