Fenderbender Neutral Newbie July 22, 2009 Share July 22, 2009 Fiat Group made a loss of 168M euros this Q. Not so bad lar, considering the losses in the last one. And they did just choke down a big Yankee. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Fiat-Q2-loss...ml?x=0&.v=6 Anyway not surprising, just about every car maker is taking a beating. As long as they can survive this down phase, should be fine. Just hope it doesn't lead to 'cost cutting' on their cars. They're just shedding their 'reputation'... for 'temperamental' cars. (No, it's not as notorious skirt-chasers, this reputation is alive and well... haha.) http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8...d=rss-world-cnn

If I'm not wrong, the Q-tronic gearbox for the TBi is from the same supplier for the BMW Mini. Can't remember the name, is something like "Aiqin". Can't remember the name, is something like "Aiqin". that 'aiqin' gearbox that you mentioned is the 6 speed auto box that found it way onto the 1.9jtdm 159. 159 1.8Tbi will first comes with a manual and then follow by a DDC (DSG for VW group) as I last read somewhere in the web. http://www.motorauthority.com/fiat-will-la...romeo-mito.html

There has been no confirmation that the dual clutch will be used on 159. In fact, Alfa Dual Clutch is not even out yet.

Felipe 3rd Gear July 25, 2009 Share July 25, 2009 whatever it is it'll help market themselves more in auto markets. selespeed are for manual drivers who don't want auto. Auto drivers will never enjoy the selespeed. DSG is a better transition for them.
