next year launch, not tis year. gear system either Dsg type or qtronic. def not selespeed. i'll miss the selespeed. its the most manual sort of system in an auto car ive ever tried.

They should offer two types of gearbox to cater to different groups of customer preference...personally for me I would prefer the DSG gearbox but at same time I know some will prefer selespeed or even the conventional manual..

Iam really waiting eagerly for the 1.75tbi..7.7secs for 0-100.. [bounce1]

wow, the dsg model should b interesting, hope the Dymatize can update soon, wonder whats the pricing like since the 2.2 on sgc@rm@rt is cheaper than the diesel so basing price on capacity may not fly...

The last I heard from EA, the 1.8t will be rolled out with a manual gearbox first, followed by the auto. The Dual-Clutch I believe is still in development and that Alfa might not even use it on the 159

yes, the auto is a Qtronic rather than selespeed. its a typical auto but somehow eliminates the lag in conventional auto.

Neutral Newbie

Why can't the AD setup workshop & showroom at a more convenient location?

EA told me they were planning to move, most likely Leng Kee area in a few months time.

I hope the workshop moves to Leng Kee area too, sooner the better. It has always been a pain to send in/collect the car at Teban. The only good thing about Teban is a better test drive route, compared to Leng Kee.

Any update?

sorry guys, didn't manage to head down. But if its not on the UK website, probably next yr before it hits Singapore

I hope they will have a TI version (although its only cosmetic/brake/suspension) for the 1750tbi too! And that the AD will bring it in..

LHD are already available in europe and not UK yet because it's RHD .Hence I believe after their summer break in italy, the factory will start manufacturing RHD . So I guess the 1st batch will arrive on the 2nd quarter next year , may be?

One thing for sure is that this 1.8Tbi is fully develop by FPT and not GM sourced .
