Jonbummer Neutral Newbie July 14, 2009 Share July 14, 2009 With the loss of form for BrawnGP and the huge improvement from RBR and possibly McLaren, it seems both the driver and constructor crowns are still all up for grabs! so i just wonder what do bros/ sis here predict who and which team will be on tops at the end of the season... my guess, and ope Webber, simply for the great drive and determination which he displayed in returning to action from a broken leg, and the way he win the last race after a drive thru penalty. Vettel will be a good bet. however i think his drive is too aggressive at times, and so mistakes will be made over races. BrawnGP is in some trouble, possibly because their budget is limited relatively to RBR so not much new parts to come. then there's the crazy Rubens who wants equality and a public outburst blaming the team for the result in Germany. all in all, Button will be cursing his luck if Ross Brawn cannot think of a sloution to match, or should i say catch up, RBR overall pace in seemingly any track conditions. with the odds at SingaporePools at: 14 Webber 8.00 15 Vettel 2.80 to win the driver championship, it is a good gamble for the RBR boys as it is for 04 Brawn 1.50 06 Red Bull 2.00 to win the team championship ↡ Advertisement

Blueray Hypersonic July 14, 2009 Share July 14, 2009 think Button still has momentum on his side, the recent victory points to RBR are being split between Webber and Vettel so neither one is really catching up with him in a big way, and Button still managed to finish in the points even though he did not win, so that lessened the net points lost. on the constructors side, the situation is tighter as both Brawn GP and RBR are pretty consistent points finishers, this one could go either way ... like the fifth set of Wimbledon between Roddick and Federer. Jonbummer Neutral Newbie July 14, 2009 Author Share July 14, 2009 (edited) here' the current standing with 8 more races to go i feel the momentum is with the RBR, whereas it was the BrawnGP cars which were faster earlier on with the double diffuser advantage with the ever impressive Adrian Newey design on the RBR cars, it had now show the true pace. esp in the last few races where they are able to qualify in a better position with a heavier fuel load. however, all said and done, this is F1 all can change fairly quickly in the next race at Hungaroring, 26 July. DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP: 1. JENSON BUTTON Britain Brawn-Mercedes 68 2. SEBASTIAN VETTEL Germany Red Bull-Renault 47 3. MARK WEBBER Australia Red Bull-Renault 45.5 4. Weiming 1st Gear July 14, 2009 Share July 14, 2009 I think if the climate is warm, the Brawn GP cars will have the advantage as their vehicles perform better at higher temperatures. I think Button will still take the WDC but RBR will be the WCC (stronger driver pairing).
