You'll need to use a machine to polish it off or alternatively head for a professional grooming session with machine polishing [nod]

Bro, machine will cost you a few hundred bucks [nod]

You must also know which pad to use for which application, the type of polishes needed ... etc [nod]

Unless you are a hardcore fellow where some of our forumers are [thumbsup] i suggest that you pay for a professional grooming with machine polish instead [nod]

Should cost you the range of 150-200 plus [;)]

Those normal water marks can be removed easily with paint cleaner or mild polish by hand but the problem lies with those etched in water marks. You need at least a rotary with cutting compound and wool pads to do the job and for more serious cases you may even need to wet sand to get the job done. If you are new to machine plishing, I strongly discourage you from buying the machine to DIY.

Bro, after sending to professional to remove the water marks. What sort of maintenance must be carried out to prevent the water marks again? Weekly wash and polish/wax will do?

Thanks

A quick detailer for maintenance..If you have time apply a layer of sealant..

I just applied my car with CS-II paint protection or sealant whatever. Bird shits and flowers shits all over my car this afternoon. Light drizzle also left water mark but guess what...?

Just spray water and wipe off with tissue and they are back to its shiny gloss!

So, don't waste time trying all methods. Do a layer of CS-II (mine cost around $238 with 2 years warranty) and use water (plain) to just wipe off whatever shits or marks. Simple as that.

Should wait for a month or more and let us know your honest feedback.

If your car is parked outdoor most of the time than basically there is no way to avoid water etched marks (especaily if you are staying or working in the west with outdoor parking). Regardless of what wax, sealant or paint protection system, as long as your car is parked outdoor most of the time, water etched marks will sooner or later find their way onto the paint. The situation gets worse if your car has softer clear coat (eg. Honda).

However, if your car is parked under shelter most of the time than there is a very good chance to prevent water etched marks. Everytime when the car gets wet, after you parked your car under the shelter, wipe dry the 3 horizontal panels with a quick detailer. This way it can effectively prevent water etched marks forming on the 3 horizontal panels.

Hi Gen2, unfortunately I park outdoor at work so there is no opportunity to dry the car at work. With that said, should I still bother to go for professional polish?

Tks
