Bigoceanm Neutral Newbie July 7, 2009 Share July 7, 2009 Congrats to Komoco for landing the new distributorship for Ferrari. It will be very exciting to see how Komoco distributes this "everyone's dream" car. Will it mass market it at a lower premium or continue it as a niche marque? Well done ↡ Advertisement

Famekoh Neutral Newbie July 7, 2009 Share July 7, 2009 Yes, hope the price will be lower as i believed the last distributor was marking the margin "very high" But, even if new prices r much lower, still can't afford! Anyway, congrats

Osiris 1st Gear July 7, 2009 Share July 7, 2009 don't think they can do that. More like ferrari dictating the terms of being their distributor
Ixat 1st Gear July 7, 2009 Share July 7, 2009 Reported in ST, Komoco shopping for new showroom along Leng Kee and maybe a showroom in Orchard at Hilton area. Ferrari will also be distributed under another name and not Komoco.

Remember that it was Komoco, as a business entity, who won the rights, not Hyundai. But still, the fact that they are very closely related (Komoco & Hyundai that is) speaks volumes about the Italian supercar manufacturer's confidence in the team. Well done
Happily1986 5th Gear July 7, 2009 Share July 7, 2009 I am of the impression that Ferrari booted HS because they were extremely displeased with Lamboghini sales exceeding the prancing horse consistently. Lets see whether Komoco can reverse this trend or not.

Good job Komoco.. most likely they will have another showroom to house the horse exclusively as always required by the makers.... jus like cycle and carriage move the benz to the new showroom in alexandra.... On one hand not happy with Lambo outselling them, on the other hand telling the world that they would make no more than xxxxx number of cars a year.. wanna limit supplies yet complain dun sell enuf.. Well done Oh please.... the only reason Komoco got it is because of Singapore GP Pte Ltd, the organiser for F1. Komoco boss is heavily involved with OBS for F1 and OBS is part equity holder too. So the conclusion....... OBS = F1 = Ferrari Its somewhat an open secret. Ferrari on its own standing will never associate themselves with Korean brand. Quality and performance are worlds' apart. Its like Louis Vuitton partner with Giordano chain.
Happily1986 5th Gear July 7, 2009 Share July 7, 2009 They have to. It is always a constant battle in marketing and outreach campaign between rival marquees. ↡ Advertisement
