How to convert Singapore licence to International Licence?

I was told by car rental company in both Sweden and Italy that they don’t mind renting car but if we get legal problems with the Authorities then problems will crop up , like Insurance being one of them ...... lots of grey areas .... in the end better to be safe than sorry in a foreign land and have peace of mind and enjoy the holiday or work stint anyway I think it cost $20/- if I’m not wrong

SG licence is still valid if travel to those countries, if not those car rental company won't dare to rent car to tourist.

Agree. Our driving licence can be used in most countries with english as their 1st language. I have no problem in Aust, NZ and the UK. In the UK, we can use SG licence for max 1 yr before we have to convert it to the GB one. I managed to buy a car and insurance using SG driving licence in the UK.

so why still had people driving without idp have been saman by those country, like UK, US, AUZ

because they dun have international driving license or because they have other offences?
