Questions about Cables

Hi bros, need some advice here.

Is the interconnect (RCA cables) used in car audio similar in specs to the RCA audio cables for home Hi-Fi?

Am thinking to get some DIY cables to "upgrade" the normal RCA cables in my car (HU to Power Amp), but don't know if there is any special consideration. Want to get some with better shielding capability.

Appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

Yes....exactly the same!

Go ahead....chenage it with more expensive cables. You will get better soundstage and higher highs sound quality with good cables.

Thank you bros.

Any one has any experience with DIY cables? I am thinking to use Belden signal cables to DIY. Any suggestions or advice? Thanks.

I use belden and QED in my car

Any difference? I don't know. I don't think so......

I put them in cause I have some extra around left over from my end less home Hi Fi and HT upgrades.

IMHO, don't waste $$ on hi $$ cables for car.

The engine + wind noise already win.

Better to drive home quickly and listen at home.

Belden is good enough. Just go to SLT and ask them to make the desired length for you.

yup. I did that. Bought Belden cables from SLT at $4/m. Main aim is to have good shielding to block all the interference cos the normal type used in my car caused very audible noise at the tweeters.
