Rb26dett Clutched November 19, 2009 Share November 19, 2009 Fantastic in dry and ok in wet. I used to use RE001 and then AD07. RS Sport outperforms RE001 anytime in both dry and wet conditions, is about the same as AD07 in dry and better than AD07 in wet. Bang for buck tire. I've already tracked 3 times with RS Sport, so far very happy with the tire. Only gripe is that it wears out too fast when used on track. Can last around 5-6 hot laps in PG before tires overheat. Additionally, tires are noisy... humming sound at low speeds. Typical of performance tires though... i have used this tires and like what you said , its pretty good on dry and quite alrite on wet .but for tracking its abit out.i find the side walls too soft as compared to other street tires like the RE11 , AD07/08. i used a set of RS sports in sepang and the side walls fold pretty badly. on a sidenote , u go PG with any tires also wear out fast la .just look at the track surface. Mzrmazda3 6th Gear December 7, 2009 Author Share December 7, 2009 (edited) Running on RS-02 for 1 month liao ... Noise level Beh Piah, lower than S Drive IMHO Have not actually do much hard cornering or activate any Ebrake due to forseen circumstances Steering feel i have not much of a comment but there is no aqua planning at the speed of 80-90km/hr so far on a couple of rainy days while running on expressway over small puddles of water ... Overall quite satisfy with the tyres & would rate it as a very good buy for a price of 145 each Edited December 7, 2009 by Mzrmazda3

Overall quite satisfy with the tyres & would rate it as a very good buy for a price of 145 each if u compare rs - sport to the s.drive its confirm quieter , cos s.drive is really loud, esp when old ( nothing much to complain about its performance in everyday usage through) . if u want to compare uhp tyres that is not loud, i think re001 and drb, should be even better then rs sport, (performance wise i think rs sport own, it seem to have some semislick compound in the tyres, ) ( but it wear extremly fast also ) LOL. Diesel 1st Gear December 8, 2009 Share December 8, 2009 (edited) The RS02 i had for 2 yrs & 40k were very quiet initially, but as time & usage went on they grew noisier. Both wet & dry grip really gd Be careful after more than 40k usage, they tend to "slip" more in the dry & especially dusty/sandy roads (i work in construction site). Both wet & dry grip really gd Be careful after more than 40k usage, they tend to "slip" more in the dry & especially dusty/sandy roads (i work in construction site). 1) all tyres used after some time will tend to produce noise so that is normal 2) u experience "slip" becos u r not using the correct type of tyres that is able to grip on loose gravel/sandy road. but on normal road condition it works perfectly fine right? there is no tyre that can suit the different types of road conditions so always do exercise caution when driving. Diesel 1st Gear December 8, 2009 Share December 8, 2009 1. Yes, agree, RS02 is not a comfort-based tyre after all. 2. Thanks for your concurrence, end of the day our message is the same : CARE & CAUTION.

Maxtune Neutral Newbie October 28, 2010 Share October 28, 2010 Any existing user have idea on the noise level for RS sport if compare to Toyo T1R and Hankook V12? And what's the wear and tear rating for the RS Sport?
Nikolaiski Neutral Newbie January 20, 2011 Share January 20, 2011 (edited) ok to date i've tried the following tyres: Goodyear Revspec RS-02 and RS Sports Bridgestone RE001 Michelin PP2 Eagle F1 Thai spec Yokohama S drive and AVS sports Hankook V12s I can comfortably say, the RE001 is the BEST, ALL ROUND tyre for everyday use and enthu. driving, as well as wet weather. I was on it for nearly 3 years (two different cars, two diff. tyre sizes) Recently I swapped to Goodyear RS Sports..been using them for nearly 3 months... They have the BEST street grip of the lot, but are also VERY noisy compared to RE001s. Needless to say, the F1s in the dry are s--t and noisier of course... Compared to RE001, the RS Sport has better feedback but less wet grip. However, because you have more information coming through the wheel, you're more confident of this tyre's limits, especially when braking and turning faster than you should. I'm no expect, but I think the compound is alarmingly soft for my usage of driving back and forth from JB-Singapore everyday (i live in JB) so I would NOT recommend you buy this if you have to go up north often. An RE001 would appear to be hardier. Anyway, to summarise, here's what i think of all these tyres: 1-worst. 10-best Yokohama AVS sports - Noise AFTER 15,000km: 6 Dry grip: 8 Wet grip: 8 Wear rate: 4 Feedback: 5 Yokohama S drive - Noise AFTER 15,000km: 4 Dry grip: 6 Wet grip: 5 Wear rate: 8 Feedback: 6 Bridgestone RE001 - Noise AFTER 15,000km: 9 Dry grip: 7 Wet grip: 9 Wear rate: 7 Feedback: 9 Hankook V12s - Noise AFTER 15,000km: 5 Dry grip: 7 Wet grip: 5 Wear rate: 6 Feedback: 7 Goodyear Revspecs - Noise AFTER 15,000km: 6 Dry grip: 6 Wet grip: 8 Wear rate: 7 Feedback: 6 Goodyear Eagle F1s - Noise AFTER 15,000km: 1 Dry grip: 6 Wet grip: 10 Wear rate: 10 Feedback: 1 Goodyear RS Sports - Noise AFTER 7,000km: 1 Dry grip: 9 Wet grip: 6 Wear rate: 4 Feedback: 10 Michelin PP2 - Noise AFTER 15,000km: 9 Dry grip: 7 Wet grip: 7 Wear rate: 9 Feedback: 8 Edited January 20, 2011 by Nikolaiski

Rb26dett Clutched January 21, 2011 Share January 21, 2011 good mini write up . i love the RS sport . but too bad its out of production already. most shops in singapore currently only stock those made early 09 and in odd sizes. currently switched from RS sport to toyo R1R , it's even better.decent on wet , far more superior on dry than the RS sport. Nikolaiski Neutral Newbie January 23, 2011 Share January 23, 2011 i was actually going to buy the R1R until they threw the RS sport in my face...haha...i think that'll probably be my next tyre in 20-30K km since I'm planning on hitting PG at least 5-6 times in the next few months...i doubt the tyres will even last that long...heh how much did you buy your R1Rs for, and in what size? just a thought...because my RS sports were MY09, would you say that the compound has hardened somewhat, detracting from optimum performance on track, and noisier on the road? Nikolaiski Neutral Newbie February 3, 2011 Share February 3, 2011 ok i take back what I said about the soft compound...hahaha..like bro RB26 said...it lasts man...I've tracked the tyre TWICE at PG for a good half a day, at least 9 hot laps (including cool-down laps about 20) and the tyres have only worn down A LITTLE bit...and I've driven to KL and back already...I must say i'm very impressed...with the only (minor for me) drawback being noisy, it beats the RE001 by MILES. Nikolaiski Neutral Newbie April 6, 2011 Share April 6, 2011 hmm.....5 months into using the RS Sport... Time to rotate the tyres as the fronts are noticeably more worn than the rears. Otherwise, car still refuses to understeer through fast corners like turn 5-8 at sepang..but like other say, does wear out unevenly. Then again i suspect it's how i drive..lol Oddly enough, despite going thru alot of driving in JB (i live here) i haven't picked up any nails in the span of nearly 1/2 a year. Previously my RE001 picked up nails on a monthly basis nearly...and those were narrower, higher profile tyres to begin with (205/50 16 vs 215/45 17 now) ↡ Advertisement
