Sounds like a map issue since it cannot calculate to only certain locations.

This happens when there's a break in the polygon route to the destination if i'm not wrong. yes it is the map issue.

Actually, you can see if the suction is going to fall off from the outside of the windscreen. You can see the black ring which is in contact with the glass getting smaller as the car is left more in the sun. Somtimes, you can also notice the vapour/fine condensation inside the contact ring. I suspect that expansion of trapped air is probably the cause for the loosening of the suction mount.

Normally, I'll just remove and re-attach by wetting the rubber surface and its good for another few months.

This is quite common problem. After a while, the suction mount loses its grip and under sunlight, it will slip off. For me, i just remount and avoid parking under hot sun. I do not think can replace just the rubber....but alternatively some bros bought the "bean bag" kinda of charger.

Thanks manz. Jus off-track abit, I am using nuvi 205w and there are quite a number of postal codes that couldnt be found. Its dam irritating when i am in a hurry, key in the postal code and drive off only to know that after 2 mins it says cannot find thn i am on the highway already, dont knw wat to do.

Any of you have this problem? Is there a way to solve it?

mine is 255w, using sla and malfreemaps, it's quite good

it's very searchable no matter what postal code you key in it definitely can find it and i heard that for ml mfm is better than msm it's qutie updated and i think they update every week.

you may go and buy this sla map, it can help u a lot.

i know eastgear and coolasia got sell this map others i m not sure. you can go and try their maps and i dont think it's expensive.
