Okay this is a Shinco thread... just advice from me so no offense please by what I'm about to post.

 

Real tech-savvy drivers always go for Garmin GPS systems, due to one reason - Jerome Wee's Malsing maps.

I and my friends personally use the Garmin Nuvi 255W (product page here), and it's a fantastic piece of kit - saved us from getting lost many times on a night drive to weird places hehe.

 

Check out Eastgear, they stock quite a fair range of Garmin products.

 

Caution though! You need to be quite tech-savvy, or have tech-savvy friends, to fully exploit the potential of a Garmin unit. Otherwise, stick with Shinco. laugh.gif

Not too sure about Shinco, but Garmin has a strong community of ground-level mapmakers, and Garmin provide the tools to customize and update the maps.

 

I personally prefer a GPS system with a strong ground-level following, it ensures that the maps are up-to-date and renewable.
