No I will not.

As I prefer save a bit of money in the bank.

What car you buy reflects who you are.

It's up to you what car you want to buy cos the money is yours.

Remember you must be comfortable with it.

Having a car without restricting yourself from shopping, eating and tour oversea (optional)

People who restrict themselves from shopping, eating, watching movie...ect just to own a car is just painful.

given the uncertainty of the economy

rising inflation

job security

it would be suicide for some to start thinking of changing or buying a new car

good luck

My friend told me a car is a bonus rather than a must. So he never allow a car to be a burden to him, although car is a liability. Unless you full paid the car. [rolleyes]

you are joking right

During times of high inflation,

money loses its value very quickly

so people should hold hard assets

like cars and houses.

Its only during times of deflation

that people should hold cash

instead of assets as the price

of everything is falling fast.

Simple economics.

whether a car is a liability or asset it all depend on how you write off the amount :D

there are people who actually make money when sold the car after taking into consideration depreciate etc ...

to me car ownership in singapore is no different from renting a car... just treat it as rental expenses... will feel better :D

imagine MNC are paying expat transport allowance of $8K per month to rent a Audi A8 or Lexus ... these amount can pay for the car ownership but instead it is given to the rental company

because the HR cant be bother about doing those stuff like servicing, road tax,insurance,..misc stuff.so they rather pay a high sum monthly to a rental company to take care of this 'troublesome' stuff for them and if u notice most such MNC are EURO or US companies.
