I'm also keen to know if K415 is as good as V8....

currently on my 2nd V8.. wanted to try V12 but they dun have my size (205/50/16).

anyway, those on V8, what is the recommended tyre pressure to pump since it has soft walls?

thanks.

I just changed my second set of Hankook tyres (K415 this time) at the Pasir Panjang outlet.

Must say happy with the service and the tyres. My feel is that this is value for money (comfort and quiet) for day-to-day family car use.

[thumbsup]

I usually head back to the tyre shop to pump the pressure for me on a bi-weekly or monthly basis.

Toyo R1Rs...

cos ur style of driving same as mine....on those big bending curves like those entering expressways..midway cars brake and slow down (probaby starting to experience understeer). i step gas...lol

Hi guys,

I am currently on Hankook V8RS(actually V2 Blackbird cos mine is 15") and very happy with the grip both in the wet and dry. They are almost due for replacement and I'll be happy to get a 2nd set of V8RS. Unfortunately it is not available anymore and Robert quoted me K415 as the replacement. The quote was very attractive with the special discount at the moment.

For those who were previously on V8RS and now using K415, appreciate your comments on the latter.

Some concerns here:

V8RS is VR rated whilst K415 is HR rated. I usually don't speed on the straights but i like to take bends and corners faster than other drivers :)

V8RS has rim protector but K415 dont. Not a major concern but a good to have.

I was previously on GR80 but it was no where near V8 in terms of grip...especially in the wet. Considering to go back to this tyre but too bad it is also EOL like V8.

Any other rubbers to recommend?

Thanks.. I've been doing that since my prev V8 were pumped 230 for front and back and seems to worn out on the outer edges...

Shall skip my review of this tire since it is well reported.

Got my V8 205/45/16 at U Tire JB Taman University today. Price is RM270/ea with free alignment and balancing.

Good friendly service by them.

Address is 1 Jalan Kebudayaan 15, Taman Univeristy. Even with a GPS I have a hard time finding the place. It is located opps a Caltex Station and a Bus Terminal for Citi Link buses.

Minus point is that they only have 32/08 stock for my size.

I will let you know end of this week or next as I will be heading back to Hankook tyre shop to pump my tires. [thumbsup]

No disrespect intended but the amount of air pressure you put into your tires depends on the make of your vehicle which accounts for factors like front/rear weight distribution, and also the load rating that is recommended by your vehicle's manufacturer therefore using someone else's air pressure doesn't make sense unless their vehicle is exactly the same as yours. Why not try using the recommended pressure in your car manual then adjust upwards to what suits you?

usually i pump 10% off the max tire pressure.

eg. my nexen tyres max pressure is 44psi, so 10% off = 4.4psi, so i just pump in 39psi or 40psi whichever i prefer for tht day driving :p

v hard driving, but shiok :) try it ...
