bros, got a question to ask u all...how long does a throttle body needs to be cleaned huh???

coz currently my car having some problems...when ever in 2nd gear...the engine will have like a pull back force...so instead of feeling the car rushing forward when u accelerate, it pulls back...

for instance..just now at BKE...at bukit panjang there...i was doing 110 on downslope...den while going up the slope...the speed drop until 70...can feel the car totally got no power to go up the hill even stepping the pedal more...wad's wrong huh?

TB clean once a year or 30k mileage (at least for me). Be it stock or aftermarket intake.

just got back from my mech there...did a few trial and error...well the problem is still there...haiz..only some little improvement nia...

first suspected the main cause was the distribution cables...changed all 4 of them...got better but rpm will still fluctuate...so went on to clean the throttle body....but it was not so dirty...end up wanna change plugs..but he got no stock on his car...

guess have to service my car earlier this round...

Er....Not sure for mazda 323 but for lancers they are below the rear seats.

Fuel filters need to change every 45k or 50k mileage. To change it again you need the mechanic's help.

Sorry bro,

I am considering getting an Ex, feedback i received was that pick up is relative good and i really like the interior of the car. quite surprise when it was mentioned that Savvy is faster at pick up....

Is that possible? see post below......

"savvy regardless of auto or manual, is very jerky especially at gear 2.

but this does not mean the ride is faulty, it's because of the TDC sensor is dirty.

After you clean it, you won't feel anymore.

Well, savvy is a combi of proton and renault.

if you stick to renault parts, it will kill you..

for proton, you can find cheap deals at jb.

compare to the other makes/rides, it is a cheaper alternative.

no problem in performance either, my pick up can beat a EX. haha, using only RPM 3,

the highest i hit was 140km, the car is still smooth and stable.

oh, neither did i mod my car, just change K & N airfilter.

that's all, everything else was stock"

I'll get neither, only will consider the Ex GT 2.0(Manual) but which is too expensive, might as well get a Civic ;) For money's worth, I'll stick to my 1.6
