HI, I am also new here. I just done a services on the timing, fan, alt belt, Oil pump, engine oil, coolant etc. Is around $700.

Hi all, I am new here, Wanna ask why car will vibrate when the car is on stationary posititon with engine and aircon on? And for stock CS3 the FC is around how much?

I did mine for slightly lesser than that. Then again, if the workmanship is acceptable, paying a bit more for the peace of mind is still alright.

Mine was then 10-11. Stock and CVT.

my stock FC is abt 13-14.

if heavy vibration, could b engine mounting.

Nope. Depends on driver's driving habits.

 

I changed my lancer's mounts at 50k plus mileage.

 

Engine mounts cannot be serviced. Either they continued to be used or replaced them. In pairs (front or rear) or all four (front and rear).

 

Go to a workshop that is familiar with lancer and they will check for you if the mounts need to be changed.

Heard due belt. Either put some belt dressing or adjust belt tension should do trick

 

Thx bro.I just serviced my car and the mechanic tightened up the belt.The sound still exist.Guess must go to CH & check.

Same situation as yours

Have my mechanic chk it is due to crank pulley crack

Tt y when cold start there will be a sound till engine warm up sound goes off

Sad to say I haven changed it as I just had my acl ops

Anyway from the mechanic in jb he mention tt as long as I can stand the noise during cold start it is still usable

Just yesterday while driving (CS3 M) on the roads, suddenly i can hear from the cabin, sounds like a mini train moving.. "gon gon gon gon... "

 

seems to be coming from underneath the car?? and it starts about 40 - 50+ km/hr ...

 

everything is working fine.. just wondering if anyone has such experience before??

 

my ride is going to 6 years.. but had done 80K Km servicing a few months ago..

 

 

Does any bro here can advice?? TIA!

ok.. Lol its a workhorse and maintenance is easy on the pocket..

 

got any solutions to my qn? .. [laugh]

 

hmm not sure sia. mine also 6yrs but no such sound. only the morning start engine screeching belts but tats all.

any loss in power when the sound occurs?

aircon belt screech abit i also hear when cold start the engine..

 

no loss of power.. all seems normal ..

 

 

its just that i sit inside, drive but feeling a bit worry duno will it affect other stuffs...

 

even my wife cant feel/ hear the sound when i ask her to.. Hmm ... think just drive on per normal .. till i bring it for servicing in a few mths time..

btw the spare key to our cars.. if no batt, can just DIY, unscrew and change new batt?? or have to go buy from some car shop??
