Thanks in advance hi Gem Leo, it is best to test drive both and compare before committing, i chose the CW for it's wide track and long wheelbase, especially for the back seat passenger, it's comfortably firm and well planted when driving in Malaysia's North South highway, with average fuel comsumption of 8 litre per 100km travelling at constant speed of 100-120kmph, (3000-3500rpm) occasional downshift to 3rd gear when overtaking up to 140+kmph (4000rpm), acutal combine city/highway( 70%/30% ) FC is about 10 litre per 100km or 10km per litre sorry cant comment for the AWD subaru cos i din own one, but i can recommend my Hyundai SE to arrange for test drive, PM me if u are interested, rgds, Sam (((▲▲▲Before ▲▲▲ Bodykit+Spoiler ▲▲▲▲▲☺▲▲▲☻▲▲▲▲▲ Enkei 215/45/17 ▲▲▲▲▲ VKool ▲▲▲After ▲▲▲)))

Hi, Well i guess performance is subjective to personal preference, just step a little harder on the pedal to move off, and try to keep the rpm around 2,200 - 2500rpm for economy and torque, below 1,500 - 1,800 rpm it's sluggish, not operating in it's optimal range for small 4cylinder petrol engine, also consult komoco's workshop mechanic, when doing 5k servicing and under warranty. Regarding the rims, I had up 2 size from stock 185/65/15" to 215/45/17" it's posiitively noiser, harder and more road and steering feedback, You may consider up 1 size to 205/55/16" tyre it's a compromise between comfort, quietness, co$t and handling btw the PCD for the wheel is 5 x 114.3 Original offset is +46 for the i30 model, so as not to rub the inside wheel well when lowered, and carrying full load. ^^ my
Lycanthrope 4th Gear December 2, 2009 Share December 2, 2009 Hi Sam so i must find a 16" rim & tyres with the PCD for the wheel is 5 x 114.3 and offset +46 ?? sorry , newbie on the tires and rims What is your PCD and offset on your 17" ? GemLeo 1st Gear December 3, 2009 Share December 3, 2009 Hi Sam, Thank you for the reply. Did you consider any other car models before buying the CW? there's quite a few cars around 60k and less. Am considering the i30 lah, but now at 61k.. havent include interest yet. :/ How much did u buy your CW? can pm me if you don't mind. :) My wife lives in Muar, so I will be driving up and down NSH quite often. Maybe hitting 3k clicks per month. LOL Thus, interior space and fuel are one of my concerns. Am also looking at other sedan cars, but wife prefer HB. Sk_2 Neutral Newbie December 3, 2009 Share December 3, 2009 hi, My family was actually shopping for Honda Stream at around 65K middle of last year when the COE was low<6K then it shoot up to about 13K when we decide to trade in our previous ride, and was way over our budget when Stream was quote for >75K, We test drive the Jazz/Fit, which i feel is not as spacious, and also the Freed was way over priced. A few i did not consider were Toyota Fielder, Airwave, Optra Magnum wagon etc... Then i tot why not give the Hyundai I30 a try? and i did some research on the net and gotten positive feedback locally and international forum with members from more than over 40 countries ! i30ownersclub.com/forum/index.php So we went to komoco and arrange a test ride, 1st with the base model hatchback, but felt that the test drive duration was too brief and the SE was'nt enthusiatic/motivated enough, maybe it's was a busy weekend? anyway, off we went to another dealer, and test drive the I30S with sunroof/premier model, it felt much better. but we din see the CW, cos it was display at another Civic Plaza Woodlands road show, Professionally, the SE arrange for it to be deliver to my doorstep after the show as promised, for us to savour, i sat in the back passenger when my wife took over the wheel, and the rest is history, some i30hatch owner actually told me that they should have waited for the CW... when we make a comparison during our Club Hyundai meetup, my advise, it's best to take your time to shop around for the best deal, and within your budget$, check ur pm. Rgds, Sam

Sk_2 Neutral Newbie December 3, 2009 Share December 3, 2009 went to Sunway via NSHW, stop for lunch at Melaka, took a detour, click to view a short --> cargo netting for extra protection stopping over at Brother-In Law's house in Johor / Kids just love the sunroof.... cheers,
GemLeo 1st Gear December 4, 2009 Share December 4, 2009 Thanks for the pm, Sam. Saved your number in my mobile already. I got a colleague who might be in the i30 club now. You might know him. He's the one who won this contest few months ago by achieving the highest mileage per litre. The car prices seem to be heading north as well. I have to wait and see. I've seen the car at the roadshow before. I like what I saw. I guess test driving is just secondary. It's more of the pricing now.
