HUD Speedometer

Hey guys, I am looking to get a HUD Speedometer for my car. Anyone knows where I can get one? Is it easy to install?

Got mine done at Car Beauty 3 years ago.

Price is about $200++.

Not difficult to install, can be done in about half an hour.

Thanks. Is it possible to install it yourself? Because I live in Australia. Trying to find them here but no luck so thinking of getting it in Singapore and fixing in my car in Aus.

if you are tech savvy,you can DIY,but you need to know which wire is your speedometer wire,either tap from ecu or from existing speedometer wire then also need to tap a 12v source

Cannot be that hard right? Surely it comes with instructions? Does it work on all cars? Mines a 1990 Toyota.

I just walk in to fix the speedo HUD and some guages.

Got some discount as I fixed everything one shot.

 

Not sure if they still carry the HUD as mine was done up 3 years ago.

Most accessories shop do have it too.

If you're not familiar with tapping through the ECU, some latest model are GPS based.

You just need to connect to the 12V to power it up.

 

The only disadvantage is when u go under tunnels or tall buildings, you may not get a signal to track your speed.

Juz curious, if one is wearing Polarised sunglasses, would the HUD on the windscreen still be visible?

if it display up...can TP riding beside you have a clear view of your speed...:P

Err, such HUD has a viewing angle one leh. Not from any angle also can see. Moreover the font size is not very big. The TP riding beside u must have Superman eyes to be able to see it.

 

He rather look at his own speedometer while riding along side u.

will give out beeping sound when speed over certain speed. settings adjustable

Sounds like playing some futuristic race car game on computer with a third person view. Ur opponent car will have a red arrow and ur frenly cars will have green arrows.
