My lap top trial mcafee security centre period has ended and I'm currently looking for a replacement.

What is your recommendation ?

Is AVG(free) version any good ?

Thanks.

avira AV + comodo firewall (just the firewall, omit the AV when installing)

used to buy Norton, then Karspersky.... but found the software abit overkill, too many functions and settings.... now using free version of AVG... no problems so far... actually end of the day it depends on the user the most, if u don't open dubious emails/attachments, don't click ok/yes/download/install on any unknow windows that pop up randomly, don't surf on dubious websites... u'd be safe... on the other hand if u do all of the above and installed the best of the best anti virus/internet security software, u'd still be infected

i believe this a user manual that comes with the wifi-router.. try reading it. otherwise search the net for the brand and model for ur router on the instructions.

ps. try using WPA instead of WPA2 since some of wifi devices may not have WPA2

It is advisable to uninstall the Mcfee before downloading the new one.

Used to Kaspersky before but some hardcore spyware/ virus are not deletable! Overall not a bad program but it does give me a lot of problem on firewall despite opening the port already.
