Saw the movie today, quite enjoyable but certain fast-paced scenes made me feel nauseous and giddy [sweatdrop]

Maybe getting old liao and 'cpu' unable to keep pace [sweatdrop]

The cyborg guy looks a bit like Wayne Looney [lipsrsealed]

Cried when he gave up his heart to Conner . . . . [blush]

What do you think? [gossip]

yes T2 still the best movie in the series.... remember was watching it and the T1000 (i think) was damn cool in the way it can morph and move through the heli and the jail bars.... i believe that was one of the breakthrough in cinematic effects at that time...

back to salvation.... sometimes too fast pace cause action scenes to blur, maybe my eyes and brain slow. The trip to skynet hq looks a lot like matrix revolutions where neo goes to machine city. the plot is predictable and somewhat simplistic as knew that the guy is a cyborg and also when he sacrifice himself. re-created the same factory fight final showdown. In fact, i believe the cyborg (sam worthington) stole the show from christian bale. special effects and makeup not bad, and i see a very young terminator 1!!!! excitement is there and action ok too.

Yea, loved T2 a lot too... Back in those days when I still live in my hometown, I went to beg one of the guy who worked at the theater to let me have the poster but still couldn't get it... Heh....

Bought the collector edition 10 years ago and still occassionally watch it. It has extended and uncut scene and also alternate ending option if you could unlock the easter eggs.

Great movie, if you can handle some of the unbelievable stuff.

I mean, just how much physical abuse can Christian Bale's character take? He should be dead or badly handicapped many times over during the show....

i dont think it was linked in any way. the only thing i can think of is at the end of T3 john and his gf in the bunker and that judgement day already started. So this movie is post judgement day. i was expecting to see action scenes of how judgement day happened in the salvation movie

I personally feel the movie was ok. I just went in with an open mind not expecting anything. Thought Christian Bale and Sam Worthington did quite well too. Well worth the money if you ask me.

This whole terminator timeline is quite illogical.

Basically John Connor at post-apocalypse era send his father Kyle Reese back in time to screw Sarah Connors so John can be born.... see the loop here ?

So what happens if Kyle didn't manage to screw Sarah ? Post-apocalypse John will go "poof" in smoke cause he shouldn't exist in the first place ?

We are actually dealing with multiple parallel universes here which is really quite messy to deal with if not handle correctly from the beginning.

was expecting more after catching t2, t3 (T1 too retro to compare)

overall jus a avg show, plot predictable, not too much high tech CG (you can compare the supposedly future scenes in T2 and here is a big difference)

abit of disspointment, felt like watching matrix

Yah, the T2 future scenes far more gritty and more "apocalyptic". If you ever go for the Terminator 3D ride in US you will understand more.

I feel that the whole gist of Salvation is the character Sam Worthington, and the idea for this character is lifted right off from Battlestar Galactica 2004. I'd expect this aspect to be played out more, but perhaps 115 mins is too short. BSG (and even Star Trek [spock]) showed this can be pretty interesting.

Also, the series so far is about the grittiness of a post-apocalyptical world, and that the Resistance is facing an uphill task. But the Resistance looks pretty well-fed & equipped to me; just look at the well-stocked hanger as they prepare to strike Skynet.

Turbocharged

imo, Terminator is never the same without big-sized Arnold... [sly] [sly]

whether in T-Salvation or the TV series Sarah Connor Chronicles

yep, i also agreed T2 is the best...

that time many students (of my era) wanted to copy young John Connor's hairstyle! [sly][sly]

My guess is that the probably realised that the ending of T3 is on a -ve note .... I mean .... whatever you do ... the end is going to be the same .... what kind of "good news" is that. So they have this T4 to round things up.

Haven't watch this T4 yet .... but will watch soon ...

Yes .... T2 is still the best. Relatively speaking .... it has the "WOW" factor when we watch at that time.
