Renewal of Car Insurance

Guys,

 

I know this topic has been discussed many times. However, what I want to highlight is that I have received the following 'Brochure' stuck to the wiper of my car:

 

Car Insurance Renewal

 

I was surprised that the Financial Consultant is able to track my car to the multi storey carpark which I usually parked my car!

 

Does anyone know if the public can have access to information of where one parks one's car or our home address?

Maybe your took up something and provided such info recently?

That could be one of the possibilities although I am rather careful about giving out my address and car details.

Insurance co sell away your perosal details. Carefull, next time they knock on your doors.

I think its easy 'cos the prefix of your car number plate would tell when your car was registered...so no worries...

I agree. I don't think it is very difficult to guess or find out the expiry date of insurance as it would usually tie to road tax / registration date.

However, my concern is that this person is able to trace to where I parked my car (i.e. my home MSCP).

This is scary.
