Help! Where to buy those adhesive remover

help! have those stubborn sticky residue left on the roof top after taking off the roof fins.. how to remove them huh?

where to get those adhesive remover? cant find in autobacs... how about 3M adhesive remover? is it effective?

any other recommended ones?

 

tried using WD40 and zippo fluid didnt work [smallcry]

WD and Zippo would be bad for your paintwork. Just use detergent soak over night and see if it work. Then use tape to remove them not using your finger or with metal tools.

You can also use kerosene that's available at hardware stores is lighter fluid or WD40 is not strong enough. But don't use thinner or you'll remove your paint!

Normal car polish, like HiGlaze88 should be able to do the job to remove stains, but why is there sticky residue?

 

You can try Goo-gone, available in DIY shops. But this is just to remove adhesive/glue residue.

okay will give it a try...

 

the sticky residue is left by the adhesive tape.. not sure why is it left there... i supposed coz 3M tape was not used.

U may want to try 3m adhesive remover or autoglym tar and adhesive remover. Safer for paintwork but may take slightly more time to remove the sticky residue.. I got autoglym tar and adhesive remover, if ya staying nearby i can give you some...
