If VW has kept the front from the concept design released in 2006, this car would look even better

Agree, the rims look much better with the matte finish.

The 2 ltr also no sunroof, the glass roof can only tilt upward but not slide open.

Agreed that the matt rim is better, can repair if scratch.

Don't think the chromed rim can be repair if scratch.

VW Singapore has done a wonderful job at pricing the Scirocco. At 89k, it will be at the top of the list for people considering the RX8 (undercut by almost 20k) and WRX. The fit and finish of the Scirocco is simply sublime.

$89K is only for launch of the car, now price is revised upwards.

coe is going to increase every month. therefore the car price may reach a 5 figure sum maybe by end of year.

Of course the authorities can't printing COE for a just a few K. They have to look at the big bucks. Their dept overheads very high and also the investments of late are in smoke. [shakehead]

are you joking. the omv for the 1.4L is 23K only. too high for a VW IMHO. a mini one with OMV 28K is selling for the same price.

same for the 2.0T. OMV 31K only selling 115K...............HIGH MARKUP MEANS HIGH DEPRECIATION. most importantly, the car will not look nice if it is everywhere on our roads.

You do realise for people who owns a mini one, or a Scirocco, depreciation is not a big factor. So in literal sense, they blissfully ignore the OMV and Markup figures.

And your point about having the car being 'not nice if it is everywhere' makes no sense because it is crystal clear that you are arguing for the price to be lowered. Wouldn't that then encourage the car to be 'everywhere' then?

Actually, this is presents a dilemma for VW Singapore since they need to make sure the pricing of Scirocco should not kill off the other models in their stable. The one in danger could be the Eos. Coupe cabriolet it may be, but the Scirocco is still more visually appealing and I believe a better drive.
