Im using harmon/kardon idrive for my Matrix. So far, it has been serving me well for the past 4 years. =)

You will need a HU that has an AUX out.

Hi, reviving an old topic on ipod.

i have 2 brand new ipod nano 8G (any colour), which my wife and I won in a draw. But we have no use for it, and are looking to let it go for $150 each.

Do pm me if anyone is interested.

Thanks.

Hi everyone,

I'm driving a 2007 Mazda 3. It has a Media button which I have no idea what purpose it serves. I want to connect my ipod. The tuner gadget, as some of you mentioned, really sucks.

So 2 questions here:

What is the media button for?

What's the cost if I want to integrate ipod to my car?

Please reply as layman term as possible. I am totally new to cars. And yup. Female driver. [cool]

Thanks!

Not too sure how much it costs, but you need a Mazda ipod adapter and have that plugged into the back of your headunit. Try checking with some accessory/audio shops to see how much it costs.

Hi Hobomobo

I'm also driving a MAzda 3.

Try to locate the AUX port, and get the cable and u can plug in to your ipod and AUX port.

If u are not sure of the size, u can use the ipod earphone jack and try plugging into the AUX port (to check if they are the same size) and u can get the AUX cable from Challenger or NTUC. i got mine at NTUC.

Hi Deepster

Not sure if u are driving the old Mazda 3 or the new face lift Mazda 3, for the new facelift, the AUX port is inside the hand rest box.. the box inbetween the front 2 seats.
