Incom 1st Gear May 19, 2009 Share May 19, 2009 Card reader yes, but not really consider portable. With the card reader, you will still need to connect to ezlink web site to retrieve the information. Currently most of the card readers available only supports the old version of ezlink cards, reader for new cards is still pending to be release. Hope this information helps. Huggable Clutched May 19, 2009 Author Share May 19, 2009 Having to connect to PC or internet to read the card is fine. As long as I don't have to walk to the interchange! Any idea when will the reader for new EZL card be available?

Incom 1st Gear May 20, 2009 Share May 20, 2009 According to the Ez-Link, the new card reader is schedule to release in May 2009. Previous it is schedule to March 2009, but delay till May 2009. Now looks like it is going to be delay further. You are right. I can check my ezlink card balance, trips and top-up at home using the card reader.
