cos the AD want to suck us dry, earn up to tens of thousands for a car and then state ridiculous warranty terms and conditions, and horrible warranty periods.

Don't think so. I think is because Singaporeans don't hold on to their cars for long. Sell/scrap them at the 4th year or so. Borneo Motors introduced extended warranty packages what, in the end sales still lose out to Avante.

WHY WHY, I SEE SO MANY AVANTE on roads nowadays.. I thought Avante drivers could be exclusive drivers of their rides... Looks like the car is selling well, real well

I think Regent ever sold their Ford cars with 5 yr warranty but it didn't translate to fantastic sales....I guess Singaporeans' mindset is hard to change, the majority who prefer Jap cars will stick to them even if they are given 1 year warranty, I guess, haha. Throw in a 5 year warranty for Conti and Korean cars and only a small number of buyer will bite....

The other factor is that the so-called Conti AD always sell with much higher PM than Japs so they do not have the economic of scale which means higher maintenance and spare parts while another factor is conti depreciation value is very drastic... for example a new BMW 730 cost $300K and a used one less than 2 year old cost $150K. Unless you have so much monies dun know where else to throw away...

many leather shop can do, but dare not do.... the plasticky parts will have to be removed and wrapped with leather... u have to understand that such wrapping are done with glue... in our humid weather, the wrapping tend to pop after a while... that is why shops won't dare to do unless you don't claim against them for bad workmanship...

Beltas sold by PIs are 1.3, The Vios is 1.5.

I think JDM Belta has a more upmarketed interior but I haven't seen a belta's interior so cannot confirm.

In fact Vios is more expensive than the 2. Altis is about $10k more than Cerato Forte 1.6SX.
