Anyway, back to topic......

So i guess no bros here drive the fairlady.

$8k depre for a 3.5L V6 2dr coupe is to me vv attractive.

And the car stands out even when parking beside its continental bros.

Perfoamce and rise comfort is well balanced too.

Only qualms is the running costs: patrol, insurance, tax etc

I am driving the 370z now.

I always liked the Fairlady from a distance but never got one.....thks fer the below feedback. It looks like its a car not meant for daily commute in our tropical heat and stop and stop traffic....

den its ok

personally i find the Z very uncomfy for daily ride.

seats are hard, height is low. but i think u gotta sacrifice for the handling

another thing if u r getting the convertible, the heat is quite unbearable even at nite if u r driving with the top down. many at times although it sounds abit dumb gotta drive with the air con on.

driving the Z is like riding a class 2 bike, u really sweat at traffic light.

however power is superb, able to give its turbo counterpart a run of their money.

FC is killer though, only manage 5km/L , maybe too heavy foot.

so dpends whether ur friend willing to sacrifice the cons to the pro.

Stop-start traffic no problem if auto,A/C is very cold,so heat not an issue.

I drive a 350Z

Depre $11.5k ($8k super super good bargain leh.. cheaper than civic.. go for it)

Roadtax $3.2k/year

Insurance $3.9k (After 20% / 29 yrs old / AIG)

7km/l (245 front 275 rear tires)

Bridgestone tires $450/piece

Servicing wise.. engine oil.. gearbox.. differential.. quite standard.. more oil needed for engine and differential..

Driven CL7R, EJ25 WRX, all feel different ley.. but the silky V6 definitely feel different from all the 4 pistol engine..

Mazda 6 & Fairlady are diffrent class of cars,1 is a family car,1 is a personal car,VW Scirocco is a bit better 2+2...For Fairlady, you need to drive longer to find it's good points...a very fun car..totally not the same as my Mazda 6..

Yup definately all different cars thats why i never brought up the mz6 and roc.

No doubt fairlady is a fun car to drive. 370 is too $$. 350Z is too old. Overall maintainence also $$$

I recall my friend had a fair lady once upon a time brand new and pre-Godzilla (GTR) era. After Godzilla was launched, the rest as they say is history. Henceforth fair lady has been relegated to be lady in waiting. Lost its lustre except for a small community of enthusiasts.

GTR also diffrent class,it's supercar power bring Nissan up with the big boys like Bentley GT & Porsche 911 Turbo, while the Fairlady is just a cheaper Porsche Cayman.

I see...so the value is only of the remaining coe and can't extend anymore right?

Confused Ad,not sure,if just paid 5 years,means cannot extend,anyway all Fairlady OMV should be around $45-50k....my 2009 370z is $48k.
