Yattokame 4th Gear May 13, 2009 Share May 13, 2009 Hi all, my friend is looking at these two 350Z's... anyone knows if the history, e.g. accidents, etc? also, any workshops specializes in them? http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...590&DL=1172 http://www.sgcarmart.com/used_cars/info.ph...2996&DL=500 thanx! ↡ Advertisement
Yattokame 4th Gear May 20, 2009 Author Share May 20, 2009 Or does anyone know where the Nissan forum / 350Z owners forum is? thanx a lot :)
Dmt2 Neutral Newbie May 20, 2009 Share May 20, 2009 For servicing history, provided these 350Zs are from Tan Cheong, they will have a maintenance history http://www.nissan.com.sg/contactus/contactus.cfm
Whatupz 1st Gear May 20, 2009 Share May 20, 2009 Dont think so easy to get info from Tan Chong. Most of the time, the AD will ask for your car plate and IC number to verify whether you are the owner.

Lightbringer 6th Gear May 21, 2009 Share May 21, 2009 I would personally stay away from PARF cars with more than 1 previous owner, for obvious reasons. Unless the price was unbelievably cheap and you had the opportunity to do a through inspection on it with professional and competent assistance, it is not worth the risk of having a lemon fall into your hands. Ah_tee 2nd Gear May 21, 2009 Share May 21, 2009 (edited) Hi, it's my friend who's getting the car.... he's got other cars so I guess it's just another addition :) den its ok personally i find the Z very uncomfy for daily ride. seats are hard, height is low. but i think u gotta sacrifice for the handling another thing if u r getting the convertible, the heat is quite unbearable even at nite if u r driving with the top down. many at times although it sounds abit dumb gotta drive with the air con on. driving the Z is like riding a class 2 bike, u really sweat at traffic light. however power is superb, able to give its turbo counterpart a run of their money. FC is killer though, only manage 5km/L , maybe too heavy foot. so dpends whether ur friend willing to sacrifice the cons to the pro. Limxiaoming 2nd Gear July 13, 2013 Share July 13, 2013 (edited) Stock cars should be problem free. Stock cars should have potentially less problem but cant say for sure its problem free la haha. My car 4yr old milage 100k and its still running perfectly. I know ppl will say buy this type of car dont talk abt maintainece, patrol, insurance, roadtax blah blah blah, but can any bro shed some indication? Friend is 26this yr Edited July 13, 2013 by Limxiaoming
Vinceng Turbocharged July 13, 2013 Share July 13, 2013 350Z is a superb car. But unless your friend has a deep pocket, road tax and insurance are going to burn a deep hole in his pocket. Has he considered Honda Integra, Toyota Celica, Lancer 1.8 turbo, Colt Plus Turbo, Proton Satria, Suzuki Swift 1.6 etc?

Those cars u mentioned are quite out of range. Hes actually looking at 350Z, 320coupe, RCZ, a5 etc and 350Z is actually the cheapest among them, albeit higher running costs. Yattokame 4th Gear July 13, 2013 Author Share July 13, 2013 A5 is so common nowadays. Just go for a 350Z !!!
350z 3rd Gear July 13, 2013 Share July 13, 2013 4yrs left 350Z is probably a DE model. Can consider the facelift HR model instead...google the diff... My HR roadster is 5yrs old (60,000km) now & still in good shape...relatively low maintenance ride, just do the regular servicing will suffice....but high running cost (road tax/ insurance etc..) rightly pointed out... These days many youngsters (less than 30yr old) into Z....guess many love the sporty 2 seater look + 300bhp... ;-)
