Dont think so easy to get info from Tan Chong. Most of the time, the AD will ask for your car plate and IC number to verify whether you are the owner.

I would personally stay away from PARF cars with more than 1 previous owner, for obvious reasons. Unless the price was unbelievably cheap and you had the opportunity to do a through inspection on it with professional and competent assistance, it is not worth the risk of having a lemon fall into your hands.

den its ok

personally i find the Z very uncomfy for daily ride.

seats are hard, height is low. but i think u gotta sacrifice for the handling

another thing if u r getting the convertible, the heat is quite unbearable even at nite if u r driving with the top down. many at times although it sounds abit dumb gotta drive with the air con on.

driving the Z is like riding a class 2 bike, u really sweat at traffic light.

however power is superb, able to give its turbo counterpart a run of their money.

FC is killer though, only manage 5km/L , maybe too heavy foot.

so dpends whether ur friend willing to sacrifice the cons to the pro.

Sorry to dig up old thread, any bros here have experience to share with this car?

Friend is interested to buy 1 and I'm helping him ask on his behalf.

Just went to see one by direct owner fully stock maintained by TC and mileage pretty decent @ 120k. $8k depre/yr.

Car is pretty old though only left with 4yrs.

Stock cars should be problem free.

Turbocharged

350Z is a superb car. But unless your friend has a deep pocket, road tax and insurance are going to burn a deep hole in his pocket.

Has he considered Honda Integra, Toyota Celica, Lancer 1.8 turbo, Colt Plus Turbo, Proton Satria, Suzuki Swift 1.6 etc?

Nah he wants to go for something a bit more loud if u know what I mean. Those cars u mentioned are quite out of range.

Hes actually looking at 350Z, 320coupe, RCZ, a5 etc and 350Z is actually the cheapest among them, albeit higher running costs.

4yrs left 350Z is probably a DE model. Can consider the facelift HR model instead...google the diff...

My HR roadster is 5yrs old (60,000km) now & still in good shape...relatively low maintenance ride, just do the regular servicing will suffice....but high running cost (road tax/ insurance etc..) rightly pointed out...

These days many youngsters (less than 30yr old) into Z....guess many love the sporty 2 seater look + 300bhp... ;-)

why would anyone looking for 350z be wasting his time looking at integra, celica, lancer 1.8, CPT, swift or even proton?

he wana buy a door, u trying to sell him a window. not really relevant rite?
