Dafansu Turbocharged May 19, 2009 Share May 19, 2009 Drove into JB yesterday around 11am. Traffic at Woodlands was very smooth with not many cars. As soon as I cleared Woodlands CIQ, it was jammed packed all the way to JB CIQ. It was nightmare and took me more than an hour to clear. Wonder why it was it this bad since SG side did not have heavy traffice entering JB. On the way back to SG, the causeway going to JB was still jammed. Normally on Sunday, traffice entering JB is light but now have second thought about going in. for the past few trips i went in, singapore custom very light traffic, but jb custom full of vehicles
Tireburner 3rd Gear May 30, 2009 Share May 30, 2009 A look at onemotoring now shows both sides of the causeway is fully packed with vehicles. Glad i'm not in there. Today is also the start of M'sian school holidays right? Wonder how many thousands of litres of petrol burn due to this inefficiencies. The sooner the 3rd bridge is built, the better. Hopefully charges not like the 2nd link.
Ichibawa 5th Gear May 30, 2009 Share May 30, 2009 Yea.... just saw the congestion at onemotoring. Often its motorist who zigzag, cutting lanes and creating additional lanes that jam things up because of their impatience. Seems like there are lesser ppl who thinks our neighbour is unsafe... that is healthy.
Xspace 1st Gear May 30, 2009 Share May 30, 2009 Can be unpredictable, best time is 9pm+ like tt ba.. Check onemotoring for best results...
Carnut Clutched May 31, 2009 Share May 31, 2009 wat's the point of building another white elephant? the 2nd link is already underused because of the high toll charges. unless the objective is to start another mega "project".
Tireburner 3rd Gear May 31, 2009 Share May 31, 2009 You can stick to causeway if you find 3rd link is expensive.
SaNibOy Clutched June 1, 2009 Share June 1, 2009 If got no time to log in internet to check traffic condition, can always call to find out traffic condition of checkpoints. Here to no --> 68630117
Tireburner 3rd Gear June 1, 2009 Share June 1, 2009 Sometimes the information from this hotline is not accurate. When it says traffic is free flowing, turns out that the viaduct to Woodlands CIQ or the causeway side back to SG is jammed pack with vehicles. Nhyone 4th Gear June 5, 2009 Share June 5, 2009 I'm surprised that the jam starts pretty early on Friday evening. Even at 4:50pm, the JB side is already jammed to the old Customs. Do people really leave office so early on Friday?
Drafting88 3rd Gear June 5, 2009 Share June 5, 2009 it could be because of the school holidays; Singaporeans returning from Malaysia.
Nhyone 4th Gear June 5, 2009 Share June 5, 2009 Huh? It's the entry to JB that's jammed, not exit. It also jammed last Friday, but I thought that's because everyone left early due to Family day. Don't tell me next time must leave office 2-hours earlier?
