Dummy cctvs

which section of mustafa may i ask?

 

went there today. went to cctv section, cheapest they had was 20$ and had no LED. couldn't find any despite a rather aimless windowshopping.

If you are travelling upnorth, try the pasar malam. Last I saw in Melaka was RM10.

haha. the people themselves don't even know what they have.

 

earlier, I asked the guy selling cctvs if they carry a dummy one. he was affirmative, and showed me one without LED and said it was $20, and was the only one.

 

I went again just now and yes, it was indeed beside the black&deckers kits.

 

the CCTVs are still in stock, at $4.50, with b&d. after some scouting around in electric dept (b2) and ground floor (chapalang appliances), i managed to find it on the 4th floor anyway, in hardware section.

must also see who you ask lah normally, I'll try asking those that are around the sections that sell similar products and just say "I remember buying some of them last time and they are display somewhere here, so who will know where they are being relocated" that usually does the trick

I usually shop there around midnite, so most of them are a bit blur blur, trying to stay awake, so if I ask a few more questions, they will quickly find someone that is more senior that orders the goods for replenishment

 

The last time I feedback to them about the Spark plugs openner tool, all the 16mm hex nut size were sold out and left only the 21mm, so I told them all newer cars, in fact most after 90's MPFI are mostly 16mm hex nut size, 21mm mostly for old Carb cars but of course there are still some (not many) newer cars that still use 21mm hex nut.

they gt sell dummy cctv - my dad bought one lately

u need to put batteries for the LED light.

looks exactly like the real one.

 

try there and ask.

 

tho i'm nt sure if the sim lim tower carpark fee will bother u..

oh i went sls. the cheapest they had was around $10. not quite satisfied. got my dummy cctv at mustafa.

edit: their parking fees are okay - just kinda shocked the other time. made a wrong turn into bencoolen so i went into their car park and exited (to head back towards bt timah). they deducted 2 or 3 bucks instantly. no grace!

the real CCTVs I have at home, don't have LED ones. Surprised to hear dummy ones have LED. Meaning possibly many of those dome cameras with LEDs could be fake....

well indeed dome shaped cctvs do not have LEDs. The most they have is a round cluster of clear LED (not lit usually) around the camera. For those with LEDs, they are the long rectangular CCTVs - and they do not blink.
