hi bro

I recall a Ling zhi or something like that. They have very nice recipes using hou tou gu. I brought the older folks to this place, and wife brought some overseas friends there. Quite well received. The good thing about this place, is that they don't use the gluten like many other veg restaurants do.

hi mate

you are quite right, in the carbo, and the gluten flour. The best vegetarian dishes are simply a good rendition of the vegetables, and understanding their nature, texture, tastes, etc, rather than simply moulding gluten flour into what they can never be. But some of the better vege restaurants serve just vege, done right. I also enjoy some of the Indian vege restaurants, some very nice, and none of the pretense - cheap too.

Turbocharged

I patronized Ling Zhi at Wheel lock place (Liat Tower) before. Food is not bad but can be quite expensive.

If I recall correctly, I paid S$80-S$100 for 2 persons' dinner.
