Has Anyone compare Caren and Exora?

I like the cruise control on Exora, expecially travel up north.

I guess some people chose to disagree saying Singapore road don't require cruise control.

But I always feel short change when we pay so much in Singapore but get low spec car....:(

Small country, small market....what to do.

but I think power and handling wise Caren better base on paper spec.

Any expert to advice?

Bro you cant compare 1.6 with 2.0 of course performance wise Caren more better,Exora handling is above average as it's tune by Lotus their subsidiary.AFAIK the SE told me there's rebate of 7K for normal and 4K for OPC.Go JB can buy accessories like fog lights,DVD,ETC..but Proton SG need to reduce their price seriously to stay competitive.

you mean there's a 7k rebate on top of the $57,999 price? would that make it only $50,999? the standard price is already $11k lower than the $68,999 Kia Carens and 20k cheaper than the new Toyota Wish 1.8X at 75-77k...but the performance really CMI...

having sat in the Wish taxi, the 1.8VVT-i to me is underpowered...i as a pax can already feel the weight of the 1.4t car...so even with 140bhp, still not enough...though the engine is pretty quiet, the Wish still has bad wind and tyre noise, plus the uninteresting exhaust note is seriously demoralising...

the next competitor, Kia Carens, should be using the same engine as the Kia Sportage 2.0CVVT 145bhp...i have testdriven the Sportage, but both cars weigh about the same...the engine is really bo pien...CMI...0-100kph comes in at 12.0secs...sigh...like not making any progression in life...

however, i think the Proton should offer a more sporty exhaust note, even if it has to be revved just to get it moving from standstill...

Bro the performance of MPV and sedan is world apart,You expect 1.6 MPV to be under 10s for 100km/h?As long it suffice, return an average FC,Not problematic is fine for me.You can always wait for the light turbo version arrive next year..So far no major complains for both Exora and Wish.

MPV and SUV are not meant to speed..so dunno y ppl commented it is slow, heavy lol.

want them to be fast and responsive..then all manufacturers sld up their cc and thus higher price...

Proton is building a TC-ed Exora. For that version, we'll have to wait till 2010 or 2011.

Suzuki APV is 95% Indonesia made under licensed by Suzuki Japan.

I feel that S'pore Exora M-Line comes with cruise control if i'm not mistaken,There's additional stick on the right side of the steering wheel.Think only export M-line has it.

This morning went down to take a look, nice and spacious car.

But confirmed no cruise control, what a pity.
