Erykool 1st Gear November 26, 2012 Share November 26, 2012 (edited) Brothers, am thinking of getting a 2nd hand cps, frankly, how is the comfort level and sound insulation of this car? And in terms of durability, any major issues I should look out for? Looking at a 2010 unit.. Pickup is it very bad? Mandrew 1st Gear November 27, 2012 Share November 27, 2012 Hi Brother, it is not that Bad.... Let me add my penny here.... (based on my experience only...) If you are not looking for a sudden pickup sort of thing.... this vehicle is fine. Moreover, this is a MPV which is a family vehicle, so no one uses it for racing though :) I've done around 20k mileage before I sold my CPS. Frankly speaking, during my trips to KL as well as driving around in Singapore, I didn't feel any issues... (other than... not getting the sudden pickups for over taking and when you want to speed up... ). I've driven to Cameroon Highlands as well as Genting with 5 people on board... no much issues... Comfort wise, the vehicle is very comfortable. I didn't feel any issues in the driving position and Passengers also fine in the 2nd and 3rd row. 3rd row very comfortable for kids..... even though it can accomodate 2 Adults. The Sound proofing is very bad in this vehicle which you have to consider upgrading (the new CFE is having a better Sound proofing). And if you can go accross(JB)... you can get the job done within SD500 (4 doors, Bonnet and Tyre trim sound proofing). I didn't face any such issues during the 20k driving.... It's worth for the money you pay.....
Panhard 1st Gear December 1, 2012 Share December 1, 2012 Hi human. Sounds very much like the problem I faced a month ago. I had a real awful smell from my front vents suddenly while driving with no chill air coming from the aircon vent. Checked with tts and found to have problem with my thermostat. I also have to add when this happens there is a fog/misting from the vents together with the smell. Got the airfilter below glove compartment cleaned. Still had the problem till I got the thermostat fixed.mine is proton exora cps. Did you do it at the agent's w/shop? Was it under warranty or had to pay. How much? Frachua Neutral Newbie December 2, 2012 Share December 2, 2012 Dear Bros, Anyone can advise me how to replace the rear wiper of my EB? My ride is less than 5 months old but i noticed all the wipers are not sweeping very well. In fact the front driver sider wiper, the more i sweep, the more blur is my windscreen... decided to just replaced all of them. Managed to take out the front 2 wipers without much fuss... but I just cannot figure out the rear wiper. It seems like a full assembly, including the arm. Does it mean I have to go back to TTS to get it replaced? Btw, first year warranty got cover wear and tear part like wiper?

7seater Clutched December 6, 2012 Share December 6, 2012 Hi guys well the smell from the rear air-con vent still exist, dunno what to do? Thinking of doing sound proofing for the car, any suggestion? to do in sg or malaysia. what would the cost be? maybe you can try this. I turn the knob to 100% red zone and let hot air blowing thru for a few minutes with windows wind down to clean off the smell. if you do not have the hot air version, may be turn of the cold and use only the normal air to clean off the evaporator. hope it will help you to get off the smell. Mandrew 1st Gear December 7, 2012 Share December 7, 2012 Compared to SG, the Soundproofing in MY should be cheaper. But be aware that there are lots of qualities for the material. So basically the price differs based on the quality of the product. Last year I saw SG Autobacs having a good promotion for the doors. If I'm not wrong they were using Dynamat which is also a good one. But I went across to JB and searched around and finally done all the Tyre rims + 4 Doors with a normal brand called 'Silent'. For a guage - for the price of 1 Dynamat sheet you can get 2 to 2.5 sheets of Silent brand. There are other US brands also which are very costly. Some uses a spray type material which has to be done with proper care and skill. There are normal light weight ones available which are of no use if you are using for the Doors. So do a research and spend based on your budget. Try to use good quality ones for the inner Door part. If the quality is good, you don't even need to have one on the outer layer (some feels more comfortable using 2 layers). ↡ Advertisement
