Neutral Newbie

I am a newbie to car. Just changed two front absorbers for my second hand Toyota Altis (2006) @ SG330 (including labour and wheels alignment).

When I requested the quotation, the workshop salesman told me that the parts are from KYB and confirmed made in Japan.

However, when the change was completed (I left my car in workshop and did not stay there when they worked on the change), I checked the boxed of the parts and found that they are made in Thailand and there are no any information mentioned the parts are from KYB.

On the box only mention Toyota, genuine parts and the code number of 48520-09430; and 48510-09530; made in Thailand.

I also checked my old ones they have replaced, it is from Tokico.

How can check my changed parts are from KYB or Tokico? How can I know whether I have been carrot head or not?

Everyone who goes to Accident & Emergency of the hospital seeking emergency medical attention is really damn sick ? ? ?

This young mechanic decided to play with a shock absorber of a motorcycle sitting on top of it, then he couldn't not take it out by himself and he had to rush to the hospital for emergency treatment ! ! !

Hello all. I am in need to replace my shock absorbers as going through humps and uneven road surface is causing too much shake in the car.

Auto**** quoted me $2050 for Audi stock shock absorbers for both front and rear pair, absorber mounting, stopper, bearing, cover, and 1 year warranty.

However, another workshop *** quoted me just $1200 for Audi stock shock absorbers (with installation) and that's all was mentioned.

Who is the carrot chopper? is $2050 legit?
