Mcblue Neutral Newbie April 26, 2009 Share April 26, 2009 Any ideas on the most practical means for self defense when confront by thugs at NSH R&R or when kanna carjacked? Since it is illegal in Singapore to import taser/stun guns/pepper sprays, etc. How about E2 Defender torchlight? ↡ Advertisement

Since it is illegal in Singapore to import taser/stun guns/pepper sprays, etc. How about E2 Defender torchlight? being a lost sheep from the pack is always a target for wolves. stop at popular R&Rs and park where the crowd is. it may not be the cure-all, but it definitely reduces the possibilities of such attacks. be vigilant and aware of your surroundings. if you notice a vehicle following you no matter what sepeed you go (fast or very slow) you may want to continue until you lose them or reach the next toll plaza with a police station. if you do really get car jacked, i think the best is to give them the money and/or car. is it worth it if they retaliate with weapons? Mcblue Neutral Newbie April 26, 2009 Author Share April 26, 2009 You won't have time to run to your boot. basically need to be very portable & tactic to stun the person & ideally avoid any body contact

Galileo Neutral Newbie April 26, 2009 Share April 26, 2009 Thanks bro, where to get this items? Get it from Dealextreme or kaidomain, both onlineshop provide free world wide shipping. You can find high voltage stun gun from kaidomain but pls refrain from getting it. A super bright 900lm P7 flashlight is enough to dis-orientate any attacker. Hotamp 3rd Gear April 26, 2009 Share April 26, 2009 you can go to AA singapore and buy their steering lock that is made out of metal in the shape of a baseball bat, the end is even covered with rubber foam for ease of holding on tightly ....haha........made in korea......i have one. Not asking anyone to play hero, but i always believe it is good to standby a usable "weapon" inside the car, not saying you must use it but at least i have the option to use it when the situation arises....lost money never mind, but different if gf, wife or children safety at stake

Whitecvt Clutched April 26, 2009 Share April 26, 2009 (edited) A little more expensive option: http://www.wickedlasers.com/ Can consider the Elite Series (not ridiculously priced as the Spyder II) and its powerful enough to temporary blind people, light matches/ciggs, pop a balloon, etc etc. at least its small and compact enough to keep on you, or in front of the car (no need to go to boot), plus it gives u a chance to blind the attacker, or even used to signal to authorities if you're lost in forested places. Hey maybe even burn your way out if u're tied up :) Quick fact: a 15mW laser is enough to blind a person 20 miles away. imagine what a 200mW laser will do for you. Note : The Photonic Disruptor™ is a laser weapon designed for military and law enforcement use only. The Photonic Disruptor™ is an extremely effective, non-lethal, waterproof high powered green laser built specifically for rugged, harsh environments. This laser is classified as TALI™ (Threat Assessment Laser Illuminator). This product has been featured on Discovery Channel's "Future Weapons." This tactical laser is equipped with versatile focus-adjustable collimating lenses to compensate for range and power intensity. Laze a non-lethal focused or unfocused beam towards potential threats at a distance. Used properly, the Photonic Disruptor™ will temporarily overwhelm a threat's visual senses without causing permanent eye damage. Site also sells a 4100 lumen flashlight which you can cook eggs or ppl's eyes with :p not too bad @ 299 usd? Sensible advice. Just practice common sense and be alert of the happenings around is. It will be 100% foolproof, but help to minimise the risk of falling victim to such crimes. ↡ Advertisement
