is it possible that decat will cause the o2 sensor and a/f functions not to work?

you may get CEL (check engline light) turn "ON", as for the code, it will depend on different make but one of the general code is "P0133" - O2 sensor circuit slow response.

 

once the CEL is turn "ON", generally, the ECU may go into a "Safe" mode as it "assumes" that the O2 sensor is having problem. So engine will be running rich (under "Safe" mode). Just get a ScanTool device and clear the CEL and it will be ok.

Either a resistor is put in to fool the ECU to avoid the CEL.

 

Or some aftermarket tuning software can disable it.

 

If you just clear the error w/o doing anything to fix it, it will just keep popping out.

mine didn't happen all the time, was thinking of getting the O2 extender but only available in US ebay, locally don't know if anyone does it?

Try a 20K ohm resistor..... check with Harmony... they should know.

how many Watt is the resistor, parallel or series to the O2 sensor?
