Vtim 3rd Gear July 17, 2009 Share July 17, 2009 (edited) hi all bros, is it possible that decat will cause the o2 sensor and a/f functions not to work? anyone have experience on this? please help advise. you may get CEL (check engline light) turn "ON", as for the code, it will depend on different make but one of the general code is "P0133" - O2 sensor circuit slow response. once the CEL is turn "ON", generally, the ECU may go into a "Safe" mode as it "assumes" that the O2 sensor is having problem. So engine will be running rich (under "Safe" mode). Just get a ScanTool device and clear the CEL and it will be ok. Dwoon 1st Gear July 17, 2009 Share July 17, 2009 Either a resistor is put in to fool the ECU to avoid the CEL. Or some aftermarket tuning software can disable it. If you just clear the error w/o doing anything to fix it, it will just keep popping out.
