Mrs Phua Chua Kang was there. It was mentioned in another section (paragraph) in the newspaper.

Her name is Irene Ang, she is the president or CEO of some entertainment firm.

She said something like this to the NG: "I love God as much as you do, but I don't agree with the way things are being done".

Also, the committee did not ask for the vote of no confidence, the members did. It is clear that they have to have a venue that could accommodate all 3000 members and pay for security. What options did they have? Ask members to queue up outside the AWARE office to submit their votes? Before you suggest that money was wasted, why don't you tell us what they could have done in that position?

Who is Alan Chin?

Actually most of the money, as disclosed by the execo themselves, are used to employ lawyers. Whereas the old guards would use volunteer lawyers.

I think no one needs to tell you, or the "new guards" on what needs to be done in that situation. Since they planned the coup in accordance to the constitution and rule book, don't ask people for understanding when the same constitution and rules are thrown back at them. Fair game, no? If you want to start a dirty war, be prepared.

The way they planned the whole thing is doomed to fail. Its like rolling the tanks into Iraq and taking over Sadam's office and think that the war is over and all Iraqis will happily listen to them thereafter and allow them to rule Iraq.

actually, i find the old guards not gracious in defeat, unlike the new exco. also, the fact that the new exco received a life threatening letter augurs very badly for the old guard. last but not least, the way the old guards' supporters conducted themselves rudely during the egm, shows that they are of lousy character. my vote goes to the new exco.

I like the analogy you use to describe it.

actually, this aware saga only proves that my understanding of women is correct, that is, most women are very emotionally unstabled and they let their heart rule over their mind, and they cannot handle stress.

bro. are you refer to the group that being stepped down or in general?

good that they stepped down,or there will b neverending chaos.

anyway that part on 'shut up & sit down',i find it v funny, like school teacher lecturing the students.

This purely show the ego overtaking the rational part. They just cant control their own manners.

This group of ppl are considered elites. It is good to let them understand that not everything can use force and power to achieve.

Although I am a female, I do agree that women are very emotional. Anyway, it's seems to me that it's a power struggling game, I wonder is it necessary for this AWARE to exist, if their existence is just fo them to use it for power fighting. Then I think our govt might as well closed it down by force if the existence of this AWARE seems to start stiring sensitive topics such as, religious and racial issues. Aren't it supposed to do something women in need? Or...??? [confused]

i asked my mrs and a few other female friends and relatives, none, i mean NONE of them actually know anything much about Aware, accept perhaps only heard of this name only. They dont know what it does, what it has achieved, and dont know how to reach it.

i would say these letters should be simply "threatening" ones to voice one's displeasure against the previous "new exco".

Reported by the media that police reports were made...think police confirmed it too...if new exco make false report, they will end up in trouble..unlikely they lied...

now we have a bunch of militant homosexuals out there threatening people's life if they don't agree with them... [shakehead]

Think it went out of control, when they mentioned Josie Lau's children...its really quite troubling...they know where the family stay and the schools the children go to...seems kinda unnfair to hit out at people like that...

hope the cops can track them down and do something about this...like they did with all the bomb threats....you can't get away easily....
