Hey forum mates,

Any idea how do i combine two videos and display them simultaneously?

cos typically, to combine video clip A and video clip B, u'll need to put them sequentially, one after the other.

however, right now, my intention is to display them half screen video clip A, half screen video clip B.

Please kindly enlighten which software etc to use?

PS: hopefully free software. I only need to use it once.

Will Adobe Premiere do the job?

you can do that in Premiere. but its not a "free" software. also you need to resize the screens so both sits nicely beside each other.

Scale and reposition the two videos. You will have a lot of wasted space and both videos will be very small.

Most serious editing software like Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro can do it.
