Wildaltum 1st Gear September 7, 2015 Share September 7, 2015 Cannot be scratch mark cos I have been very careful when opening door. My fingers never touch that part. In fact my finger never have a full grasp of the handle cos I purposely do that to prevent any contact with that part. I think it's wind that bring the dirt there. Concave will hit all the wind. Hi Mpvlover...it is fine scratches...it is not dirt...my black car can see some of these scratches when you see it against the light, it is not that obvious. Its it not so bad like the advertisement la...that one is exaggerated. But can polish off if the scratches are not too deep. Thats why the protective film is to prevent scratches. sometimes my family members hold keys in the hands and open the doors, or ladies with long finger nails, or whatever that can accidentally scratch it. ↡ Advertisement

That's why I think we should do some form of paint protection coating for our new cars to protect against all these. The plastic protective film is a cheaper option but it will only cover that small area. Or if kiasu you can do both haha.
Stevewish Neutral Newbie September 7, 2015 Share September 7, 2015 (edited) what about 3M ORAGUARD 270 STONE GUARD FILM ? it's cost about 1.2m X 1m $24 per m . The lower grade ORACAL is much cheaper $6 per m but not as good. I used to paste on some portions of the car and can last several years. FYI i bought it in one of the shop along 3004 ubi ave. Last weekend, visited a few PI and view Stepwagon and Esquire. I'm still quite resist to the van type of design. i like estima but it is dated. A friend is driving voxy 2.0 and he says the engine is quite powerful and the FC 13~14 plus km/l. anyone here can double check? Depends on what type of driver you are. prefer comfy ride or more on aesthetic? I believe most of us here who had chosen the triples is bcos of the comfy ride + $$. One of the best valued for money 7/8 FULL size MPV. I must admit that the exterior of the triplets are not that appealing. But the benefits within the car had outweighed the exterior. Thus gaining its popularity. Most of the bros commented that the triplets are pretty responsive and the FC is in the region of 12-14km/l. I have not gotten my ride yet, so can't confirm. If on eco it's like elephant. Fc for me is 9.6. Considered good as my route is full start stop for an hour plus.
MiltonLim Neutral Newbie September 10, 2015 Share September 10, 2015 Hi all, New here. I've decided to set my next car to be Esquire n went searching n viewing the options different PIs have. One question in mind: The original leather is iSofix right? Some PI offering lower price with local wrapped leather. What's ur take on this?

One question in mind: The original leather is iSofix right? Some PI offering lower price with local wrapped leather. What's ur take on this? Second row has isofix. Many said the original synthetic leather quality is better than those locally wrapped leather. For me the factory leather seats are good enough. I don't see why you need a local wrapped leather

Real glad that i went down cos i didn't know that voxy is avail in 8 seater as well. Price offered is within my range but i still believe it will drop further lol :p Have also take a look at stepwagon but find the engine a bit noisy Initially, I dropped the triplets from my list because it was not love at first sight. Today, I brought my wife to see Sienta (at Abwin) and StepWGN (at Hup Long). We passed by CarTimes and saw Noah for the first time. Its front has a classic and gentle look, which appeals to us. Its two tone design make the interior even more appealing. It is a 8-seater. The offered price was $136,800, which is lower than StepWGN ($140K at Hup Long). However, need to wait till Nov/Dec for delivery. Not wanting to pay for Dec's COE price at today's rate, we walked away. They also have a White 8-seater Voxy for immediate registration, at $137K, but it's front is too sporty for our liking. Otherwise, can take delivery in 2 weeks time. No Esquire. 3 years warranty. 3 years free servicing. Sienta $120K Hup Long's Voxy & StepWGN are $140k. Wish is $124K. Sienta $120K. Prime Cars also has a black Voxy for immediate registration at $136K. I am happy to see that Triplets are not that expensive as compared to StepWGN, and Biante. In comparison, I feel that Noah looks better than StepWGN. Noah's 3rd row flip up easily. I'll wait till Nov/Dec to buy their existing stock at the then COE rate.

Yup, that's the figure i was quoted as well when i went down on thursday however i rem hup leong quoted me 138,xxx for their stpwgn. Like the tailgate of stpwgn but the engine n interior doesnt suit me. Find the eng a bit noisy even at idle. Prefer voxy front rather than noah. Didnt the sales told u the voxy interior can be 2 tone as well? Hoping the price will drop slightly more to ard $128-130k :p
samfreak 3rd Gear September 12, 2015 Share September 12, 2015 Changing the exterior look is going to be tough but not impossible. You can consider TRD or Modellista kits. In fact, I thought the TRD look fits very nicely between Noah (classic) and Voxy (sporty). The interior though is much more customizable. Check out Rakuten, Amazon/Yahoo Shopping Jp for parts that will bring some luxury touches to the Noah and Voxy. For real luxury though, none can beat the Esquire Gi. In fact, the triplets didn't appeal to me initially. My interest was perked only when I saw photos of the Esquire interior posted in this thread (thanks, mpv_lover). Went down to Prime at AML where they had the Esquire and Voxy side by side, took one look at the interior and I was sold on the Esquire. It then became just a question of which PI and when to book the Esquire. I opted for 2-tone interior, twin sunroof and the full 7-airbag system so it had to be indented. I checked out/test drove other MPVs too but decided to stick to Toyota and a NA engine. A TC engine will incur higher service, maintenance and repair expenses negating road tax savings.
