Triplet owners, when sliding doors open at the point it separates, do you feel that each "punch" when it separate could sound different? Is it because sometimes when it opens at a slope, the force requires to separate door is different and therefore the difference in sound.

Did not notice the sound. I think nothing weird about it.

Now please dun poison my mind haha... wait I go hear it more and if has issues cannot sleep well

Notnsure if anyone asked this before. For the 8 seater, 2nd row seat is similar to wish? I.e. 3 full seat rather than like biantie or which is 2 sliding seat combine to be a full bench.

Also, the 3rd row centre seat, is between the seat split line wif buckle on the left?

8seater 2ND row is a bench split 60/40 slidable front and back.

3Rd row is split 50/50 foldable upwards. Seatbelt for middle passenger is 3 pt pulled down from the top.

I am looking for MPV. i have a few questions to consult:

1) Why is this model not as popular as other MPV, I don't see it on the road since it has launched in 2014. coming 2 yrs.

2) Is this model going to replace wish or estima since both models already in the market for very long.

3) is it fine to go for hybrid version?

4) Any forum to find out more info eg. group buy complaints, etc?

advise pls. thks

1) Esquire being the latest model only launched in late 2014. The previous siblings like Voxy or Noah did not get much attention perhaps of its appearance which are not so appealing to most of the people here? i dunno..

2) Seems like Esquire is gaining its popularity

3) Given a choice again, i probably will go for hybrid as the price diff is not a lot.

4) can check out our fb group (but most of us not yet to collect our rides). I think taiwan or hongkong there's a group of the triplets as well.

To add on hybrid is cheaper. Running on 1.8l of I remembered correctly

Cheaper in terms of capital outlay amd road tax. Petrol consumption also more efficient.

Less strength though

Guys side track a bit.

Yesterday and today unlucky side mirror got contacted by motorcycle. Got a contacted sound. Cannot do anything right... boiling inside me.

Luckily got ceramic protection can't find any scratch

Both motorcyclists just sped off... I can picture myself mentally punching them real hard like hulk smash haha

Peta and z...

Do u notice that when eco mode is engaged, the car brake is not as responsive? Or it is me imagining things?

I did not use tools or try to recreate the comparision on the same conditions. But it seemed that the braking distance is a tad longer.

Accerlatting is muted I can understand. But why braking also slowed? When on eco mode the car is high on drugs? Haha

Yes, the voxy and noah sound funny.

As for the hybrid, the 1.8 engine is tuned underpower to achieve good fc. it is almost like 1.5 l engine. Even with battery power assisted, it still quite under power to move a 1.6 ton vehicle or worse with 7 big size passengers load. Anyone drive it, pls comment

That is news to me. Can advise where u learn this from?

I was more comparing 1.8l hybrid vs 2.0l petrol by the number

There have been this age long debate on the battery replacement cost for hybrid. It's not peculiar to just the triplets. Also affect prius and I'm fact all battery hybrid regardless of honda or mazda etc.

I think biante thread someone just posted his concerns.

Think u should do research because if the worry is true it will be a major push factor away from hybrid

The first time I undo eco was when I was scaling sheares bridge from ophir road with full load of 7 adults. That's because I was on 1st lane. Malu la.

The second time was to carry out the test for mpv. Didn't feel any difference on brakes. But I think my car 4 wheels are all discs. In any case, I don't think the brakes are not effective when on turbo. Rather maybe you are accelerating faster than when on eco mood therefore takes a longer distant to stop.

Nono... u got ot all wrong haha. I was saying when on eco the brake distance is longer

When off eco everything is more responsive. Brake also

I only off eco when need to overtake. Eco is very cozy but like a elephant haha. Off eco feel alive like wish
