Juz now travel along bukit batok road around 6 plus evening, before entering into PIE changi airport, my IU beep and show the amt of money left in my card, its like juz pass thru ERP gentry and money being zap from the cash card. Ok nvm later i turn into lower delta and turn right before entering AYE tuas, my IU beep again and the same thing happen. Anyone experience such thing? I wonder is it LTA gg to implement the GPS ERP system, charge us for every road we use in future, now doing some experiment? [gossip]

Usually if your cash card has less than $5, anytime it picks up a stray ERP signal be it from a gantry or a carpark scanner, it will beep.

Don't think its a stray signal thing. More like a periodic warning which can be very very annoying.

Should be a less than S$5 warning. Btw even after operation hours, looks like the gantries are still monitoring the cars that drive pass them.

The last time I drove in Singapore, this happened whenever my cashcard went below a certain level (think its $5 as mentioned above). If I knew I'm not going to pass through any active ERP gantries, I would pull the cashcard out of the IU partially - it worked, stopped the beeping sound.

2 possibilities:

1) You cashcard low value. But this one usually is long beep

2) The contact between your cashcard and IU is 'loose'. Therefore, once in a while the IU will think that you just inserted the cashcard(and thus the display of remaining value). Usually happen when you go over some bumps on the road. It always happen to me.

I experience the same thing. Cashcard value around 30+. After some time I suspect it's the signal or radiation from my mobile phone cos my phone cradle is near the IU. The reason being whenever I place my mobile phone near my alarm clock, the signal will cause the alarm clock to reset 00:00. You might say it's my certain brand & make of mobile phone but after I changed to another phone, it will still reset my alarm clock, as for the IU the beeping by itself has become less though. Maybe the new brand of phone has less radiation. [laugh]

there are some spots where the scanner are installed, that you can't even spot them, and they're there not for deducting tolls, but for whatever reasons it may be.

You'll know these spots when driven with a sub-$5 card, as the design of the IU card is that it'll sound out a peep alarm (if your card is less than $5) when passed through a scanner.

Some spots I experienced:

1. Slip road (short tunnel) from CTE (towards Yishun) to TPE

2. Jurong Island Entry
