How to get rid of wax stains on plastic mount of car?

Normally when we wax our car, some of the wax may end up on the plastic part of the car and it'll leave a white wax stain that you cannot clean away with water. I thought I saw a product that can get rid of the wax stuck on the plastic mount but I can't recall. The wax on the plastic mount will disappear after wiping with water but will come back after the watrer dries :D.

Just want to know if anybody has any idea how to remove the wax?

A wax erazer will do the job...

Erase waxing mistakes instantly!

Duragloss Wax Eraser is formulated to easily remove wax and polish residue from textured and smooth surfaces. Duragloss WE erases the white, chalky residue and leaves the textured surface like new.

Duragloss Wax Eraser undoes one of the most common detailing problems: white chalky stains on black trim. Many waxes and most polishes do leave some kind of white residue that easily wipes off paint, but is virtually impossible to remove from plastic and rubber. There are a dozen home remedies out there but all you need is Duragloss Wax Eraser.

Duragloss Wax Eraser dissolves errant wax and polish on smooth and textured surfaces. A gentle solvent eliminates the chalky stain without harming rubber or plastic. These surfaces will look like new.

This is not a cover-up product! Duragloss Wax Eraser literally erases white wax stains and they won

A simple search on the internet:

I know "polish" is not the same as wax but some polishes do use wax as the lubricating agent... so it might work.

Personally, i would definitely try window cleaner + soft toothbrush on the plastic trim first before spending on any products.

I use APC and AG Fast glass before, sometimes it works, sometimes don't.. May be it could be the wax stain on plastic too long and dry off leaving permanent damage. But usually for fresh stain should be no prb.. I also try to use super resin polish with a damp mutton cloth(cannot be dry) to clean before.. The cleaning properties also able to remove but don't let it dry too long(1-2min) before you wipe off or you will have new stain..

errr....could you try using those rubber eraser (yes the stationary eraser). I was able to remove some residue on my rubber windscreen seal and some plastic trim with it. And if you don't mind tell me the outcome cuz I'm just wondering whether mine is just a fluke.

Regards.

I've removed mine using a special foam-like sponge from japan, it's white and looks the same as our dish washing sponge but the texture is dense. It's the more ex type that retails for about $2 each.
