Supra Neutral Newbie April 7, 2009 Share April 7, 2009 How many of these are on the road ? For the past 6 months, I only saw 3 Legends and 2 Fuga. I think they are consider the rarest Japan luxury saloon prior to Toyota Crown Royal Saloon / Athlete / Majesta.. The new Majesta looks good... ↡ Advertisement

Carbon82 Moderator April 7, 2009 Share April 7, 2009 I have yet to see any Fuga on our road, except for the Mitsuoka version (Galue III). It is the high pricing that put buyer off. With a close to S$200K price tag for the Legend for example, most will go for either Mercs or BMW, while die-hard Japanese car fans would have opt for a Lexus, IMO. Legend if market under Acura badge might be able to sell slightly better, if Honda can prove to local buyer that it is a upper grade Honda, just like Lexus vs Toyota. As for Fuga, it look too close for "comfort" to the new Teana, and putting on an Infiniti badge may not work, since the latter is price at very competitive level.

Honda Legend or Acura RL is one of my dream cars. I doubt I can afford to own one in this life . May be can consider a used one if there is one subsequently. Blue850r Clutched April 17, 2009 Share April 17, 2009 It is the latest model with Bose sound system, 4 wheel steering or something like this. But the look is quite close to the Accord in my opinion.

Rainman 1st Gear April 17, 2009 Share April 17, 2009 The legend is too small size for the flagship car....I may be wrong but it seemed like smaller than camry and its own accord. Price is also too high for a car without a luxury presence.
George1688 Neutral Newbie April 17, 2009 Share April 17, 2009 (edited) In North America, the Legend is sold as an Acura RL and is classified as a mid-sized luxury sedan so its competitors are the Lexus GS, Infiniti M (Nissan Fuga), BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Audi A6, Hyundai Genesis (yes, it's worthy) and Volvo S80 etc. Luxury marques like Volvo, Infiniti and Acura do not have a full sized sedan (Lexus LS, BMW 7 Series, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Audi A8) in its lineup so the mid-sized sedans are their flagship models. I suggest that Honda and Nissan should bring in their luxury divisions to Singapore but I have a feeling that Infiniti will be more successful as they are more refined and have better value for money than Acura in North America. Acura RL and KM Accord (Asian spec) are now full-size car. Based on US EPA standard, the Accord/Inspire is a full-size sedan. Full-size is defined in measurement as greater than 120 ft Edited April 23, 2009 by Kelpie ↡ Advertisement
